I cap my number at 20-25, since I work directly with all of my authors. I read their books and line edit them before they go to an editor, I work with them on promo/publicity campaigns, I give them feedback for WIP and generally make sure that the editor is doing everything they can to make sure the book they bought is a success. I may increase the number to 30 once I get an assistant, but for now am keeping the numbers low. Hope this helps, Caren J. Dear Mary:
