Hi Stacy,

If a submission has been rejected by one of the publishers under the Harlequin umbrella, does that preclude the author from re-submitting to another one of your publishers?

Hi Stacy!

When judging a contest, do you request manuscripts from contest finalist, or primarlily the one you place 1st?

Thanks so much for coming!

Best,
Marian S

Hi Stacey,

What advice would you give someone in Australia, currently working with a small online publisher as a copy editor, hoping to find further work with one of the bigger companies in the US - online editing?

Thanks, Stacey.

Hi everyone!

As for pins, I'm not into pins, except on my badge for conferences. I've got quite a collection there, so much so that I've had to pare down and keep some on a special bulletin board.

As for the titles, they were originally BORN TO DIE, BORN TO LOVE and BORN TO SERVE. In retrospect, they were more mainstream and using CALLS helped create THE CALLING name, so it worked.

Elaine -- I'm going to forward your comment to Stacy -- also visit her post that went up on Feb 5!

What advice can you give to new writers to help them rise above the slush pile if they don't have an agent?

I like pins you can wear them every where on jackets, shirts fronts even as a tie replacement for that feminine look.

Thanks for coming by! I think it'll be a lot of fun to hear what Stacy has to say. Stacy has great editorial sense and is totally savvy about what's selling!

Jeannie and Annette -- please come back on Monday and ask Stacy your questions! I'll try to repost them as well for you.
