Rome Day 1 – Palm Sunday

Buon Giorno from Roma on a beautiful Palm Sunday! We’re here enjoying the sights and doing a little research for SECRET AGENT REUNION and my December holiday vamp story.

Rome is amazing! We’ve been walking all day and getting the lay of the land. Our hotel is within about 2 miles of most of Rome’s wonders.

We started today by going to Palm Sunday Mass after we checked in. We were able to see the Pope. From there we hit a local flea market, an assortment of churches (there’s one on every corner and even the local churches are wonderful), piazzas, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, the Forum and Colliseum. We didn’t go into the bigger monuments as we plan on doing those on different days, as well as the Vatican grounds.

Here’s some pictures from our first day!

  1. It is really really crowded and yes, we will eat lots of pizza.

Nisha, I hope you can make it here one day because there is so much to see!

Today we did the Vatican (you can check out that blog) and tomorrow we are going to try and do the catacombs.

I was supposed to go to Italy at the end of may but i ended up cancelling my trip because of personal family reasons.

But I’m so glad you are having a fantastic time!

  3. Do me a favor, try some pizza while you’re there!!!!!

    Sorta crowded, isn’t it?

    Nice picture of the Pope.
