Wicked Wednesday – Paris Hilton

Wicked Thought for Today: Isn’t it a shame it’s only 45 days in jail? Isn’t there some way we don’t have to read about her anymore or someone finally takes responsibility for all her outrageous actions? Or is it true that the rich don’t have to follow drunk driving or seatbelt (Corzine) laws?

Here’s what the LA DAILY NEWS had as Paris’s response to the jail term:

  • “I feel that I was treated unfairly and that the sentence is both cruel and unwarranted and I don’t deserve this.”
  • Don’t deserve some kind of punishment for driving drunk and then violating the terms of her probation?

Sorry, Paris. It’s time to grow up and face the consequences of your actions, something that most of us have had to do all our lives. And no, it’s not because you’re a celebrity that you’re being punished. If you hadn’t been a celebrity you probably would have been in jail long before now.

What do you think about Paris in the Penitentiary?

    1. If it would have been me I’d been locked up that same day. She needs to get a good look at the read world and grow the heck up.

    2. I so agree with you. Unfortunately in this country it seems like there are rules for the rich and famous and then there’s the rest of us. I’m sorry it’s only 45 days!

    3. Totally onboard with you! They made fun of decent hard-working people and their everyday ways with that reality show. Then they ignore all kinds of laws and expect us to understand when they are punished for it?

No way. She is so overdue for some discipline.

Next on the list: Lindsay Lohan.

    4. I’d love to see her make a reality show out of that. She’s built her “career” (and I use that term very loosely) on making fun of real people who are living good lives. She’s flaunted her self-made celebrity, insulted people literally where they live, made a mockery of small-town living and she wants SYMPATHY from the American public? Get a grip, spoiled child. You’ve all too often bitten the hand that feeds you. Our turn to bite back.
