My friend Lois Winston and I spent Friday and Saturday driving to and from Rhode Island where we met the wonderful Rhode Island Romance Writers. It was a blast meeting these delightful women and talking with them about writing. We had lively discussions and great food. The only wonkiness to the whole event was the remnants of Hurricane Noel which hit us on the ride home. Even my low-slung Sebring convertible wobbled with the strong blasts of wind hitting the coast!
Listening to Lois’s workshop as well as Hannah Howell’s talk about hooks inspired me. I’ve got a great idea for a new opening line to my work-in-progress and plan to start on a new proposal shortly. But before I did that, I decided to do some retail therapy and also, add some fun — hence the wonkiness — to the website.
