I’m making my list, checking it twice…

snowglobe1I’m in denial that Christmas Eve is exactly two weeks away!!

I’m having a crew this year and excited about sharing it with all my friends and family but in panic mode because not only do I have to still decorate the house, buy the gifts, do the food shopping and cooking, but also finish revisions on the next book in THE CALLING.

Luckily I’ve got lots of support from family and I know that when we gather around the table in two weeks, we will all have an awesome time.

Our Christmas Eve tradition is a melding of traditions from Italy, the North of Spain, Cuba and the good ol’ U.S.A. Lots of shellfish, fish, roast pork and other goodies.

How about you? Do you have any special holiday traditions? Do you celebrate on Christmas Day or Christmas Eve?

  1. Sounds like wonderful traditions. Just like at T-giving, I go to my sister’s house and she’s the one doing most of the work!

  2. Oh boy… I am nowhere near done with my shopping… tick tock… as for decorating, we just started to put things up…
Christmas will be here before I know it…

  3. I go to my brother’s for Christmas Eve and to my son for Christmas day. Open gifts at both places. We are a small family, just me and 2 children. As the biggest part of my family is in Ca, it is seldom we get to spend the holiday together. We were excited to think that next year we could all be together but the military changed his next duty post. Instead of Maryland he has to go to San Diego. Bummer. I am sure that when it is time to sit down to that delicious sounding dinner, everything will be perfect but if it isn’t, I doubt that anyone will care. Families and friends are there for the joy of being together, not the decorations. Hugs to all.

  4. Hey Ms. Caridad! Oh wow and here I was thinking I was bad. I have the house decorated but that is as far as I got. I have not bought one present, I have not even wrote a list. I have not bought one morsel of food… nothing.
Tradition, the only thing we try to do is gather with both hubby’s family and mine (which are both not big) and have dinner and exchange presents. Then on Christmas day, we (my family – hubby and daughter) stay home, open gifts and just chill out.
I am thinking I may need to rethink my idea of a tradition… Times change and people change…
I hope you have a great day! Your tradition sounds great!
