13 New Year’s Resolutions

Funny thing, but I generally don’t do New Year’s Resolutions, but I figured what the heck this year. So here is my list of things I’d like to do in 2012!

1. Walk at least 10,000 steps each day.
2. Lose weight.
3. Eat healthier.
4. Write a break out novel.
5. Make new friends.
6. Go to Tuscany.
7. Spend less.
8. Cook more.
9. Go to a new writing conference.
10. Read more books.
11. Work smarter.
12. Sell a Desire to my editor!
13. Be happier.

What about you? What would you like to accomplish in 2012? Feel free to share your resolutions.

  1. great list of resolutions Caridad.
my main NYR is to quit smoking. i have already cut the amount from 1 1/2 packs a day to less than 1/2 a pack a day so now i just need to finish going the distance. it is a tough habit to break and i have been smoking for 30+ years. last year my mother got sick and has had lung problems since, her doctor told us that she needed to quit and we made a deal to do it together. it has been a slow go but we are getting there. 🙂
my next NYR is to improve myself as a writer and try to find a group to help with that.

i hope that all of you have a blessed and joyful New Year and may all of your dreams and wishes come true.

  2. Caridad, These NYR are great! Some of them sound like mine, but with differences.

    Happy New Year!

  3. Hi Caridad,

Just like the others, I don’t usually set resolutions. ‘Coz I know I can only keep it till the end of January..hehe. But yours inspire me and I decided to set one this year because I have an important goal that I want to achieve which is get my ex boyfriend back. Wish me luck and Happy New Year to everyone!

  4. I do not usually make resolutions, but I think I will try one this year and see if I follow through…
    Happy New Year! 😀

  5. Hi Caridad! I am also not one to make New Years Resolutions, because I never seem to be able to keep them ( I think that it just gives me an excuse to do the opposite ). I do like yours though. If you manage to keep a few maybe it will give me inspiration for 2013. Happy New Year my friend!!

  6. I remember walking 20,000 steps each day. I think I need to get myself a new pedomitor to measure that goal.

I need to exercise more myself. This has been a great year, but the weight has… well, the weight HAS!

    Happy New Year Caridad.

  7. I like your resolutions. I usually don’t make any. The only thing I would like to do though is go to church on the first of the year. I usually don’t go alot, but after my father had open heart surgery I am greatful & feel the need to thank God alot more for my blessings.—Rachel

  8. I love all of these! And I’m right with you on all of them. Well, of course, #12 has an entirely different title for me, but you know what I mean! *grin*

If you want to buddy up for the year, I’m all about the support!

    Happy T13,
