Trimming the tree with the angel Cat underneath the tree. Wonder if she'll topple it again this year? Views of NYC from West New York and our Cuban food shopping experience
NYC from West New York Sour oranges - essential for Christmas Eve seasonings Orange with a cross on it. Immediately caught our eye.
Yuca (aka cassava). Cuban equivalent of a potato. Very tasty! Green plaintains for the tostones. Bergenline Avenue in Union City where we pick up our Cuban food.
Celia Cruz Way in Union City. Sandwiches at El Fenix Bakery where we get our Cuban pastries and breads. Cuban sandwiches ready to get grilled.
Resting after a hard morning of shopping. Prepping the tables for Christmas Eve. One of the holiday tables.
We had themes on each table. The theme on this one was Christmas trees. The theme on the second was angels. The theme on the third table was snowpeople.
The tree with the presents waiting to be opened. Our nativity scene. Nutcrackers guarding over the tables.
View of all the tables in the dining room. Christmas Eve with all our guests. Caridad and some of her family.
More friends and family. Yet more friends and family. Some of the kids while waiting to open their gifts!
My cat Osiris (aka Boo) inspecting what Santa brought. The dining room the day after when we started cleaning up the extra tables. Some of the decorations in the den.
Socks hanging by the fireplace. Christmas flowers. Some more Christmas flowers in the kitchen.
Some of the china and other plates that need to get put away. The week after the snow storm on Boxing Day. Warmer weather and some rain took away almost all the snow from the blizzard the week before. A little snow on the ground.
High waves along the shore. More waves. Easily 6 to 10 feet high.
