A man and woman, each labeled “rogue,” must make extraordinary efforts to stop a species-threatening scheme. Pineiro’s Mick and Caterina generate plenty of heart, heat, and heroism to defeat clever and brutal killers.”
- Angela Knight: “In Sins of the Flesh, Caridad Pineiro has written a sexy adventure with a luscious hero and an amazing heroine. Mike is a delicious Alpha Male, and Caterina has guts, intelligence and courage. The plot is fascinating, and the romance is delightful. I couldn’t put it down!”

FURY CALLS, Silhouette Nocturne, March 2009

- 4.5 Stars Huntress Reviews: “(T)his story rocks! . . . This author has created a vampire world that is more believable than most of the others on the market. An absolutely fantastic read!
- Cataromance Reviews: “Readers rejoice! The Calling series is back with more dynamic characters and a particularly chilling storyline . . . FURY CALLS is poignantly moving plus frighteningly gripping, and will stay with you long after the last word is read.”
- Genre Go Round: “This excellent vampire romantic suspense stars two vamps in love, but from the first their relationship seems stuck in negativity . . . As always with the “Calling” saga, Caridad Pineiro provides a strong erotic romance filled with plenty of action on the streets of Manhattan and deep characters.”
SOLDIER’S SECRET CHILD, Silhouette Romantic Suspense, December 2008
- 4 Stars – RT BookClub: “After the wedding that wasn’t, widow Macy Ward realizes what a mistake it would have been to marry her best friend, Jericho Yates. Ever since her husband died, her teenage son, T.J., has been a handful, and Macy knows it’s time to right some wrongs. The first is to tell Jericho’s brother, Fisher Yates, that he is T.J.’s father. Right after their night together, Fisher joined the army and has rarely spent any time in their hometown of Esperanza, Texas. He came home for his brother’s wedding and is secretly happy it was called off, so he might finally have a chance with Macy. Caridad Piñeiro’s contribution to The Coltons: Family First, finds lovers reuniting. Soldier’s Secret Child (4) feels like a wonderful dream.”
- 4 1/2 Stars – Cataromance: “Intriguingly suspenseful plus overflowing with conflicting emotions, SOLDIER’S SECRET CHILD is poignantly compelling.”
- Romance Novel Television: “Caridad Piňeiro creates many subtle layers weaving them together seamlessly; the love between a mother and her child and between a woman and a lost love. The dialogue is crisp, the suspense is action packed and the romance is sizzling, with a ‘who-dunit’ you won’t see coming.”
HOLIDAY WITH A VAMPIRE
featuring FATE CALLS, Silhouette Nocturne, December 2007
- The Best Reviews: “Caridad Pineiro writes a wonderful Christmas paranormal romance starring two appealing lead characters. Sub-genre fans will appreciate spending the HOLIDAY WITH A VAMPIRE (or two).”
- Cataromance, 5 stars: “Caridad Pineiro breaths life into her engaging characters with sharp wit and an original story filled with creativity. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding them, the thoughts and words of Hadrian and Connie are sincere, making them more endearing as each page is turned. Though there are frequently lighter moments in the story, numerous scenes are moving from the genuine anguish depicted by their frank declarations. Ms. Pineiro has created another memorable vampire story to stir the imagination of her readers. “Fate Calls” is a magical Christmas story with spirited characters and an enjoyable holiday romance.”
- Romantic Times: “Annoyed by the holiday bell-ringer raising money across the street from his home, vampire Hadrian Aurelius kidnaps Connie Morales. But Hadrian gets more than he bargained for . . . . “Fate Calls” has strong, well-developed characters. Hadrian is particularly compelling.”
- Library Journal: “Although Halloween is likely the first holiday that springs to mind when vampires are mentioned, this duo of sensual novellas gives a new twist to the vampire mystique as it is tempered by the magic of Christmas and love. . . A vampire from fourth-century Rome is annoyed by a bell-ringing “Santa” and then captivated by the sexy lawyer she turns out to be in Piñeiro’s slightly edgy, bondage-tinged Fate Calls. Spicy, violent, and passionate, these stories resolve the human-vampire conflict in different ways. While the tales may not be everyone’s holiday mug of cider, more adventurous readers might find the offbeat, darker aspects both atypical and refreshing.”
MOON FEVER, a paranormal anthology, Pocket Books, October 2007
- RT BOOKCLUB: 4 Stars. “The moon is full, meaning danger and romance abound in this hot new anthology from established and rising stars. This cross section of the paranormal genre sparkles with thrills and passion.”
- Alternative-Worlds: ” “Crazy for the Cat” by Caridad Pineiro. Deep in the Amazon, Javier da Costa guides scientist Jessica Morales only to find danger under every bush. Readers will fully enjoy biting into these four thrilling paranormal romances that run the gamut of the supernatural.”
- Romance Reviews Today: “A dark tale of love, lust, and revenge lies at the heart of Crazy for the Cat. Jessica is a fairly single-minded woman who is a bit difficult to like. Add to that the taciturn but gorgeous Javier da Costa with secrets of his own and the stage is set for an explosive romance. The moon is said to have many powers, and her affects are felt in MOON FEVER. Enjoy four entertaining stories with adventurous heroines and the heroes who try to tame them.”
- Fresh Fiction: “An action-packed collection of novellas with erotic romance heating up every page.”
Bella Online: “For me, the pleasant surprise here was Ms. Pineiro’s story. I liked Jessica and Javier very much, and the jungle heat has nothing on their chemistry. For these two stories alone, I’m borrowing four of Cupid’s five arrows.” - Romance Junkies, 4.5 Stars: “This is shapeshifting with a feline bent; fast paced and interesting with a touch of magic. There is action, danger and a really hot romance in this tale and I enjoyed the setting and the story tremendously. Jessica is a woman with a mission; easy to understand and like. Javier is extremely sexy, aloof at first because Jessica is an outsider. The mythos and premise behind this tale are fascinating and I really found myself turning the pages for the conclusion.”
SOUTH BEACH CHICAS CATCH THEIR MAN, Downtown Press, September 2007
- Featured in RT Book Club
As seen in Latina Magazine
Featured on Romance Novel Television - Chicklit RomanceWriters: 9/10. “With a little bit of mystery, a good dose of loving, and a lot of great girl talk, Piñeiro’s South Beach Chicas Catch Their Man is a novel that all chick lit readers will want to add to their collection!”
- Fresh Fiction: “It should be the dream of all women to have friends such as these characters. The relationships between the men and women of this story are passionate and solid. Caridad Piñeiro captures character qualities and weaves them into fresh fabric of paper print, page after wonderful page.”
Harriet Klausner: “The second South Beach Chicas tale (see SEX AND THE SOUTH BEACH CHICAS) is a terrific South Florida investigative romantic suspense thriller. Sylvia is a superb protagonist as she distrusts Carlos although attracted to him; partly she believes deeply men leave as her father proved, but also thinks he is hiding the truth especially his role in a cop shooting. . . .Caridad Pineiro provides an entertaining chick lit investigative romance.” - SingleTitles.com: “The stories of Caridad Pineiro always showcase her wide range of abilities. Whether the story is darkly intriguing and features one of her original paranormal beings or concerns topics faced by today’s women, Ms. Pineiro deftly handles the subject and captivates readers with her storytelling ability. . . .SOUTH BEACH CHICAS CATCH THEIR MAN speaks to women everywhere with its powerful story about friendship, where emotion is sincerely portrayed by the unforgettable characters.”
- Romance Reviews Today: “SOUTH BEACH CHICAS CATCH THEIR MAN is chick lit with a healthy dollop of investigative mystery thrown in. These chicas are not simple girls, but well-educated professionals who see no need to humble themselves to anybody. Caridad Piñeiro brings the four friends to life drawing on her own experience as a transplanted Cubana, born in Havana, brought up in the USA. She is an attorney, and her experience brings a welcome touch of realism to her character, Tori. . . .Celebrate the end of summer with an armchair trip to South Beach, Miami, and play with the beautiful people on the beach. Oh, and don’t forget the mojitos!”
- FictionScribe.com: ”Even though this was a sequel, I didn’t feel particularly put off during reading it because of that. I, of course, now want to read the first one, but I don’t feel it’s a necessity to do so to enjoy this book. I enjoyed this book a lot not only because . . .it showed five (watch out for Sylvia’s mum!) successful women who built it all themselves and are now enjoying the best out of life. Caridad does well not only exploring the relationships of younger women but also in exploring the relationships of the forty-somethings who society sometimes forgets about in the romantic realm. This book is perfect for a bit of light (and hot!) reading for the last days you can manage to get on the beach this season or during your candlelit baths.”
SECRET AGENT REUNION, Silhouette Romantic Suspense, August 2007
- 4 Stars, RT BookClub:”(A)n emotionally packed story. . .”
- Cataromance: “Lies, deception, romance and danger intertwine to make this story riveting at every turn, where each page adds more fuel to the already complicated lives of the hero and heroine. Caridad Pineiro knows how to create tension on numerous levels, and this gripping story showcases her gifted ability. . . With potent emotions and risky adventures, SECRET AGENT REUNION is repeatedly engaging and always mesmerizing.”
- Huntress Reviews: “This is an excellent addition to the Mission: Impassioned line from Silhouette Suspense. The S.I.S. is the British version of America’s C.I.A. Though the setting for this story is in Europe, Mitch is American. This way the author, Caridad Piñeiro, was able to successfully blend together a story that will appeal to the American readers, as well as to the British. I recommend reading this story on a day that you need some something to lift up your spirits. This tale is very inspiring!”
- Harriett Klausner: “The sequel to MORE THAN A MISSION is a wonderful SECRET AGENT REUNION romantic thriller starring two lead characters who believe love is not enough as neither believes anything the other says. Readers will appreciate this fine tale while wondering how Caridad Pineiro will redeem her heroine (anti-heroine?), whose actions led to the death of the Prince of Silvershire in the first book. That conjecture is part of the fun of a terrific suspense tale that can stand alone, but to fully savor Dani’s Mission: Impassioned, read her sister’s saga first.”
BLOOD CALLS, Silhouette Nocturne, May 2007
- Paranormal Romance Reviews: “A deeply emotional vampire romance about love and choices . . . Caridad Piñeiro is a consummate story teller who has the ability to put the reader inside the hearts, minds, and souls of her characters. If you haven’t read the five previous novels, I highly recommend that you do.”
- 5 Angels from Fallen Angel Reviews: “Having read Death Calls, Devotion Calls, and Blood Calls one after the other, I am impressed with how original each book is even though they share characters at times. Caridad Piñeiro has done a wonderful job, once again, developing believable characters in believable circumstances with unbelievable characteristics. She has allowed the reader to suspend belief and delve into her world time and time again only to see new nuances each time they visit. I am hooked. Thank you for hours of amazing reading.”
- 5 Stars from HUNTRESS REVIEWS — Reviewed by Detra Fitch : Author Caridad Piñeiro pumps so much life into all her characters that I almost believe they are real. Special Agent Diana Reyes, and her vampire lover, Ryder, are secondary characters in this Nocturne episode. (If you have not read their story, titled DEATH CALLS, you will still have no trouble with this book. Other secondary characters had their story told in previous titles too.) The main characters of this story, Diego and Ramona, are a perfect match for each other. I never felt the need to hit one of them on their head because of any sort of stupidity. They are both intelligent and realistic people, while also cautious when it comes to their hearts. Creating characters that I can actually care for is a special talent in authors, and therefore, I cannot recommend this title highly enough.
- 4 stars, Just Erotic Romance Reviews: “In addition to being an imaginative writer, Ms. Pineiro is a daring one as well. She has created an unusual heroine in Ramona by giving her artistic passion and an ailing body that cannot keep up with her larger than life goals. Diego is a very complex character to like. The constant battle between his human and vampire self is intriguing to read. . . There is a depth in every character within this dark, steamy world struggling to keep a balance between humanity and the blood craving clan. Although it has loads of action and beautifully written scenarios, the storyline doesn’t overload the senses while the reader is engrossed deeply in imagining everything.”
- Alternative Worlds: “The vampire romance novels of Caridad Pineiro’s “The Calling” Series are tastefully erotic, very action oriented and character driven. In BLOOD CALLS, number six in the series, the protagonists are afraid to love for very different reasons. Ramona, knowing time is short, is determined to live life to the fullest and meet the goal of seeing her mother cared for in a nursing home for the for the rest of her natural life. Readers will like Ramona but adore Diego whose mixed emotions make him a believable character.”
- 5 Stars from SingleTitles: “BLOOD CALLS is an astounding mix of passionate emotions with the paranormal, resulting in a mesmerizing story of eternal love. . .The romance between Diego and Ramona is beautifully expressed, where their every thought and deed are significant in the outcome of their relationship. With the threat of danger escalating throughout the story, there is no way to put this book down until the final word is read. A gripping and satisfying story, BLOOD CALLS will pull readers into this alluring vampire world.”
- BookPdler: “Pineiro does something that Anne Rice can’t do: she gives life and depth to her vampire characters. There is such depth that they are almost human. In fact, Diego is a constant struggle between good and evil, between giving into what he wants and running away from it. There is such flow in the prose in Blood Calls that it goes beyond your normal vampire novel. It evokes grace, beauty and wonderment as you are pulled deeper and deeper into the world around Ramona and Diego. I can’t stress how amazing this book is. It’s erotic, sensual and a downright fantastic read.”

What she doesn’t expect are the attentions of the club’s owner, Ryder Latimer, or to find his southern charm so appealing. Ryder also feels drawn to Diana, but the phrase “not her type” never held more meaning: he is a vampire and has no place in her world. But as pressure mounts in the investigation, heat rises between Diana and Ryder, until neither can resist their forbidden passion.
