Many of you may know my paranormals by virtue of THE CALLING vampire series. This series was first part of the Silhouette Intimate Moments line but has now moved to Silhouette Nocturne.
Coming in 2010 is my first single title paranormal romantic suspense, tentatively titled TAINTED BLOOD. Why do I say “tentatively”? Well, there’s one thing that I’ve learned over the years and that is to not get too attached to a title! TAINTED BLOOD will be released by Grand Central Publishing and is the first book in a series which also features some interesting scientific/paranormal elements. In the first book, Caterina Shaw is a cancer patient who undergoes radical gene therapy to try and save her life. After the treatments, Caterina find that not only is she developing inhuman traits, but she stands accused of a murder she didn’t commit. My story — Crazy for the Cat — is set in the Amazon Rainforest. It is a short story about Jessica Morales, an ethnobotanist who goes to complete the mission of a murdered colleague and ex-lover. When she arrives, she discovers that she is in the midst of a war between a group of loggers decimating the rainforest and an Amazon tribe. One of the tribe’s guides, Javier Dias da Costa, tries Jessica’s patience to no end, but also tempts her in more ways than she would like to admit. But is she prepared to deal with the fact that he is something other than human?
