Sorry I’ve been away for a bit, but I had to attend a legal conference and came back feeling less than 100%. Because of that, Memorial Day seems to have gone by in a blur, but I wish to take a moment to thank our military men, women, families and veterans for all that they do for us!
My hubby and I watched The Night Manager on AMC and if you haven’t yet caught this six episode mini-series, you must! It’s a really good spy thriller and Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie are fabulous.
I have to confess that when I first saw Tom Hiddleston in THOR and THE AVENGERS, I really didn’t get why so many women were raving over him.
Then I saw him in The Night Manager. Wow. What a sexy man, especially all dressed up in those fabulous custom-made suits. Just wow. Of course, the only thing better than a sexy man in a suit is a sexy man out of it. LOL! Tom didn’t disappoint there as well, but unfortunately, no screen shots of his lean body in a bathing suit (although you can click here for a nice shot of Tom!).
It was one of those days where we had too much football and needed a break. The latest episodes of BURN NOTICE and PSYCH were still not on the free On Demand, so while flipping through the channels we noticed THE WALKING DEAD and decided, what the heck.
I actually had a hard time deciding on which “survivor” to feature, but decided on Sheriff Rick who seems to be “the leader” for now. Rick is played by Andrew Lincoln, an English actor who also played the role of Mark in LOVE, ACTUALLY. You remember him – the cutie who does that so sexy cue card reading to Keira Knightley (although it is a little troubling that she is his best friend’s wife and you’re rooting for him!).
Have to say I wasn’t sure what to expect from a show about zombies based on a graphic novel from Image Comics, but it kept us watching for six hours. The show has been picked up for another 13 episode season and I’m pretty sure we’ll be watching it!
There’s just something very powerful and manly about Jon Hamm in MAD MEN, hence my selection of him as this Monday’s Guilty Pleasure. His character on the show, Don Draper, is interesting – you might even say predatory! Plus the men’s fashions of the 50’s just add to the allure.
If you haven’t caught this show on AMC, give it a shot or visit their website by clicking here. You can also download lots of fun things at the site!
Hope you enjoyed this Monday’s Guilt Pleasure! Also, I’m on my way to the Romantic Times Convention this week, so I’ll be on hiatus until next Monday on the blog. If time allows, I’ll be posting on the happenings at the convention and hopefully some fun photos of what’s going on! Have a great week!
