#ManCrushMonday Baltimore Oriole Chris Davis

Today’s choice, Chris Davis aka Crush Davis, is not only cute and a good ball player, he’s an upstanding young man who believes in helping others. This photo is courtesy of the Baltimore Orioles Facebook Fan page and it’s of Chris at a Casey Cares Foundation event where players take the time to meet and play with critically ill children and their families.

#FreebieFriday Rookie of the Year

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR Baseball Romance Sports RomanceIt’s time for the boys of summer and if you love baseball as much as I do, or sexy stories about a slightly older woman and a hot rookie ball player, then please take a moment to check out ROOKIE OF THE YEAR.

The next book in the series, A WINNING SEASON, is finished and being edited. A WINNING SEASON will be available in late 2016.

Here’s a teaser for ROOKIE OF THE YEAR.

Alicia Santos knows she shouldn’t be tempted by the team’s new rookie catcher. . .

But Joe Fernandez isn’t just your average baseball player. He’s a potential rookie of the year with amazing skills on the field. Smart, sexy and determined, he’s fought hard for everything in his life and Alicia appreciates that kind of focus. But she’s older and wiser, or so she thinks, until Joe sets his sights on winning her over off the field. . .

Joe Fernandez has never backed down from a challenge . . .

Especially when it’s a woman like his team’s beautiful trainer. He doesn’t mind that she’s older or stubbornly refusing to give into her attraction for him. He’s a patient man and little by little he wears away her resistance.

Nights spent together are glorious and forbidden . . .

Alicia and Joe work hard to keep their personal and professional lives apart to avoid problems on the baseball field. When a career-ending injury threatens their newfound love, Alicia and Joe must find the strength to rebuild Joe’s body and restore balance to their lives.

#WriteWed The Boys of Summer and Rookie of the Year

I’m really excited to have released ROOKIE OF THE YEAR mainly because this was a series of my heart when I wrote it over 10 years ago. ROOKIE OF THE YEAR was originally slated for release in 2001, but the line for which I was writing went on hiatus and the book was never released. This is what the original cover looked like! Cartoon covers were big back then, but I like the new cover much better!

rookie RookieoftheYear

I love baseball as you know and back then very few publishers were willing to take on any kind of book with a sports hero. It was therefore quite awesome to be able to do the series about a sport I love. Plus, I got to give NJ their own team finally! Yes, we do have lots of minor league and independent ball clubs in NJ, but I wanted a Major League Baseball franchise in NJ. Maybe one day we’ll get one.

I hope you’ll check out ROOKIE OF THE YEAR. It’s specially priced at 99 cents for a limited time.

The next book in the series, A WINNING SEASON, will be out soon!

Guilty Pleasure Monday – Joe Mauer

So you all know I love baseball and there are so many hotties in the game. Today’s Guilty Pleasure Monday is Minnesota Twins All-Star Catcher Joe Mauer. He is such a cutie. I love his “aw shucks” kind of attitude in this Head & Shoulders commercial. Love his dimples also!

On the field, Joe is the only catcher in MLB history to win 3 batting titles, he was an American League MVP and also won 3 Golden Glove Awards. Way to go, Joe!

Love his work ethic and dedication to the sport. Love baseball. Come the summer time, everyone in the family sits down to watch the games almost every night. We also head to the local minor league/independent league ball clubs during the summer. Mostly to the Bridgewater Patriots.

I love baseball so much I even did two books way back when for Kensington. They never got published, but I’m hoping they’ll see the light of day in the future.

Back to David. He was signed by the Mets in 2001 and made his major league debut in 2004. He’s been an All-Star three times already (2006/7/8) and has won two Golden Gloves (2007/8). Gotta love the talent, but also the determination he shows on the ball field.

Even though the Mets have been struggling this year, David is currently batting .346. That’s awesome.

I hope you enjoyed this morning’s Guilty Pleasure.
