One of my fav movies of all time is Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. I was totally charmed by this movie when it came out and really felt like it deserved Best Picture that year. I am therefore counting down the minutes until I go see the live action version. I hope it doesn’t disappoint.

My hubby, daughter and I are like the Three Musketeers and her awesome boyfriend is our new Fourth Musketeer! We always have lots of fun together and one of the places where we have fun is Disneyworld. In this picture, we asked our daughter to ham it up and make believe she’s afraid of the monorail. We thought she was pretty convincing. How about you?
One of my all time fav movies is Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. I think it got cheated out of the Oscar for Best Movie the year it was nominated. When we went to Disney last year, one of the most awesome moments was being able to have dinner at the Beast’s castle. The place is absolutely amazing and you feel as if you are stepping right into the movie.

And now for something kinder and gentler! LOL! I mentioned I was going to the Philadelphia Flower Show yesterday and we had a blast. The theme was Hollywood and in particular, movies from Disney, Pixar and their related companies. The show was lovely this year and here are some photos for you. With the bitter cold this weekend, I found myself scurrying back into my nest after a brisk walk. When I hunkered down to write (but found that I instead had to do some website fixing!), TANGLED was on. Loved it! Fun story and the characters were interesting. Loved Flynn (voiced by Chuck’s Zachary Levi) and thought he was kind of sexy!
LOL, yes, sexy. My daughter and I have both discussed for a while how these animated characters can be sexy. Shang from MULAN and TARZAN were always some of our favorites.

Today is a different adventure on Travel Tuesday, this time pictures from my recent visit to the 2010 RWA National Conference!
I had a great time meeting with fans, fellow authors, editors and agents. The book signings went well and at the public book signing, RWA raised $55,000 to contribute to its literacy campaign. Awesome news.
The days were long and filled with appointments, even on Thursday when a few of us went over to do a run through all four Disney parks. Yes, four of them in one day!
It was wonderful to share the time with my friends and fellow authors, especially my buddy Shelley who was visiting Disney for the first time. Big hoorah to Rayna for organizing a whirlwind tour of the parks for us. Not only did we see so many interesting things and enjoy a mess of rides, while waiting in line we worked on book plots and titles and discussed market trends. We even met an interested reader on the little tram on the way back to our car!
So don’t be surprised if I end up doing a story titled ONE DAY PARK HOPPER. LOL!
I thought he was cute in OCTOBER SKY, but when I saw this poster it was like – Wow, who is this hot guy?
It turned out to be Jake Gyllenhaal. Seems Disney and Bruckheimer are adapting the 2003 video game into a movie.
Disney and Bruckheimer have had a winning combo in the past (Think the Pirates trilogy). Add Gyllenhaal looking hot and I’ve got to keep an eye out for this movie.
PRINCE OF PERSIA SANDS OF TIME will be out in May 2010.
