Book or Movie? Which do you prefer?

I’ve been lucky to have two brushes with Hollywood. I did the novel tie-in to the Jane the Virgin television show. Very exciting! Jane even said my name on the air (I’ll have to find that clip for you!) But even more exciting was having South Beach Love turned into a Hallmark movie. But as with some adaptations there were changes which brings up today’s This or That. Would you rather read the book or watch the movie version? I have to confess I’ve never read the Harry Potter series but I have watched all the movies. P.S. – if you’ve watched South Beach Love but haven’t read the book, you can find it at https://amzn.to/48xDjKD. The movie kept the basic premise but the book has a lot more teen angst, an annoying reporter, uplifting friendships and family, and lots of tasty food!

#ManCandyMonday Justin Baldoni from Jane the Virgin

Dare I say that Justin is hot-hot-hot! Just tune into Jane the Virgin for a shot of his chiseled physique and you’ll know what it’s so hard to walk away from #TeamRafael on the show! Besides being an accomplished actor, Justin is also the creator of a digital documentary series titled My Last Days (look for Season 3 shortly) and an activist for the homeless and the terminally ill. #ManCandyMonday – Jaime Camil from Jane the Virgin

So now that the cat’s out of the bag that I ghostwrote SNOW FALLING, the novel from JANE THE VIRGIN, I can admit to my MAJOR crush on Jaime Camil who plays Rogelio, Jane’s father. The character on the show is over the top, self-centered, and yet totally lovable at the same time. It takes talent to create that blend and have Rogelio be so interesting. Of course, he’s also very sexy. Catnip to us cougars! LOL!

Jaime started his career as a radio commentator, began singing in the late 90s, and eventually became a telenovela star in Mexico before l landing roles in various films and on Broadway. In 2014 he took on the role of Rogelio de la Vega, Jane’s telenovela star father. You can find out more about Jaime at his website at http://jaimecamil.com/. Thanks to his Instagram account for this photo!

🗣 Is everybody here!? Is everybody ready? I certainly am for tomorrow & until July 3rd! Tkts chicagothemusical.com/ticket_info.php

#TeaserTuesday Jane the Virgin’s SNOW FALLING

Snow Falling by Jane Gloriana Villaneuva as soon as Jane the VirginIt’s Teaser Tuesday and today I’m sharing some teasers from an upcoming release, SNOW FALLING, a novel as seen on the Jane the Virgin television show on the CW. I was so excited when I was selected to work on this project a few months ago and many thanks to the show for letting me work with them to give Jane and Michael’s romance a happily-ever-after. SNOW FALLING is set in 1900s Miami when it became known as “The Magic City” due to the expansion of the railroads to that area and the immense growth of the city. It was interesting to read about the history of Miami at that time and incorporate that real life history with Jane and Michael’s story. I hope you’ll check out this book and fall in love as I did with the romance, humor, and emotion in SNOW FALLING.
