Weekend Movies? Guardians of the Galaxy 2 or Wonder Woman? #FridayFun

I have been so chained to my desk with both my day job and writing, that I haven’t had a chance to see two movies that were both on my “have to watch” list: Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Wonder Woman.

I’d love to hear from you if you’ve seen either of the movies and if so, what you thought of them! Maybe let me know which one you’d go see first if you’ve already seen both.

Also, don’t forget I’ve got a month long contest going! You can enter multiple times daily until June 30. Just click here of visit this link: http://bit.ly/2qJqPP5

#ManCandyMonday Colin Firth

For my best friend who loves him! Colin is so attractive in an understated way. I loved him in WHAT A GIRL WANTS, LOVE, ACTUALLY and THE KING’S SPEECH. Totally awesome movies that are worth watching. Love his grin and the twinkle in his eyes!

Guilty Pleasure Monday Leonardo DiCaprio

I know there are those who will disagree with me, but I find Leonardo DiCaprio extremely sexy. There is just something about him that smolders and his gaze seems to convey a wisdom far beyond his years. I guess that’s part of it–to me one of the sexiest parts of a man is his brain!

The first movie of his that I remember seeing was WHAT’S EATING GILBERT GRAPE (which also starred Johnny Depp). He stole the movie and garnered an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

He was passable in TITANIC, but brilliant in THE AVIATOR, one of my all time favorites (especially since it also has Kate Beckinsale playing Ava Gardner).

I could go on because Leo has been in so many blockbuster movies, but I won’t because I’d like to hear whether you like Leo and if so, what are your favorite movies. I’ve still got SHUTTER ISLAND and INCEPTION on my list of must-sees and as soon as I finish my revisions, I’m going to treat myself to a Leo-Fest.

Guilty Pleasures Monday Redux Michael Weatherly

This morning’s Guilty Pleasure is a worthy repeat: Michael Weatherly.

If you’re wondering why I have Michael on the brain again, take a moment to visit my author spotlight at the wonderful Joyfully Reviewed website.

Michael first caught my eye as Logan Cale on DARK ANGEL, but I absolutely love him as Agent Anthony DiNozzo on NCIS!

Being a hopeful romantic, I had always wanted the Tony character to end up in a relationship with Kate. Of course that became impossible when they killed her off.

Now I’ve set my sites on Ziba as the most likely candidate for Tony. Let’s hope they don’t write Ziba out either, although as Michael commented in one interview, the NCIS really stands for “No Character is Safe.”

Let’s hope our movie-loving, wise-cracking totally sexy Tony is spared such a fate.

Guilty Pleasure Monday – Paul Bettany

This poster first caught my eye at DragonCon many months ago. The actor is Paul Bettany who has been in a number of other movies I enjoyed – A KNIGHT’S TALE and WIMBLEDON. Paul plays the archangel Michael in the movie. Michael has come to Earth to try to prevent the coming of Armageddon by battling a legion of angels that God has sent to Earth.

LEGION will be released on January 22. I’m interested in seeing the movie, although the premise has me wondering about it a bit. A wrathful God wants to destroy Earth?

The film also features cuties Dennis Quaid and Lucas Black (from FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS movie.).

If you get to see it, please drop by and let us know what you thought of the movie. For now, here’s a trailer for you to see!

Guilty Pleasures Monday – Elvis Presley

Elvis Presley from an NBC Special - Used under Fair Use ProvisionsI was watching TV (yes, I do that a lot) and a commercial came on which had Elvis at the start with a tag line “He Changed Music.”

Well, yes, Elvis changed music and made many a heart go aflutter, but not just with his hips. He was such a handsome man and filled with passion for what he did.

I remember growing up watching Elvis movies on the afternoon movie shows and it didn’t matter how many times I’d seen them, I’d watch them again.

My mom loved Elvis. She really took it hard when he died so suddenly in 1977 especially since he was so young – only 42.

What memories do you have of Elvis? Have you ever been to Graceland? I know that if I go to the RWA National Conference in Tennessee this year, I’m going to see about making the trip there to visit.

Guilty Pleasures Monday – Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel at the premiere of December Boys that took place at the Odeon Covent Garden, London by DavidDjJohnson at en.wikipediaThis Guilty Pleasures Monday is a young man who has really grown up quite nicely. You know him as Harry Potter, but my daughter and I had a chance to see him in EQUUS and he was absolutely wonderful.

Besides that, he was very nice to all the fans waiting outside to see him. Took his time speaking with them all even though it was quite cold.

I’m looking forward to seeing more of him not only in the Harry Potter movies, but in whatever else he may do.
