#TravelTuesday – Photos from #RWA2019

I had a nice time at the conference thanks to all the amazing people I met! It was awesome to get to know them and spend time with them. As for the conference itself, I could have done without all the politics people seemed to think it was appropriate to inject into speeches, etc. RWA was my safe space to get away and learn about writing and the publishing business. It’s sad to say it’s not that for me anymore. In spite of that, I did have a lovely time with many of the people who attended and who were there as I was to discuss writing, publishing, and how to take our careers to the next level. Today I’m sharing photos of some of the sights and some of those wonderful people. To see the full photo please click on the thumbnail.

#TravelTuesday – Come visit with me at the RWA Literacy Signing!

So excited to be heading off to the RWA National Conference this week! While hubby is minding the fort, I’ll be in New York City, mingling with old friends and making new ones. I’ll also be attending workshops, visiting with my publishers: Hallmark and Sourcebooks. More importantly, I’ll be taking part in the Literacy Signing on Saturday, July 27th. This wonderful event is from 3 to 5 pm in the Westside Ballroom (5th Floor) of the Marriott Marquis. Not only will you be able to meet hundreds of authors, but all the proceeds will be donated to a local literacy group. So if you’ll be in the New York City area on Saturday, please drop by and help out for a worthy cause.

Please take a moment to check out the list and if you have anything going on nearby that you want for me to attend, please drop me a line and I will see if I can make it!

#TravelTuesday RWA 2018 Denver

Sorry I’ve been missing, but I’ve been out of town for writing conferences. I really enjoyed the International Women’s Writing Guild conference and hope I’ll be able to go back next year.

The RWA conference in Denver this year was nice. I got to hang out with old friends, make new ones, and attend a workshop. I wish I could say more positive things about it, but unfortunately I felt my conference was marred by the actions of some. Just my humble opinion, but it was one shared by others. I’ll leave it at that. For now, sharing some photos from Denver. It was a fun city and I enjoyed being able to visit the Margaret “Molly” Brown house as well as the Brown Palace Hotel and Spa (no relation to Molly!).

#ThrowbackThursday RWA 2017 and LSF Writers

I love conferences because I love meeting new people and attending the workshops. I always come away from a conference with newfound energy and determination. This photo of me with my buddy Kim Lowe is at RWA 2017. I can’t wait to see Kim in a few days since she’ll be at the upcoming Liberty States Fiction Writers Conference. Registration for the conference is now closed, but the Book Fair on Saturday is open to the general public. If you’re in the area, I hope you can make it!

#ThrowbackThursday Look back at RWA 2016 San Diego & All Star Game

What happens when you put together a die hard Cubs fan with a die hard Mets fan? Lots of fun actually. Today is a shout out to my buddy Priscilla Oliveras and all the fun we had at RWA 2016 and the All Star Game festivities in San Diego.

A big WOO HOO as well to Priscilla on the release of her debut novel HIS PERFECT PARTNER! Congrats, my friend! I know how long and hard you’ve worked for this very special day!
