Have a great time in Nashville!

Having a good time hanging out with other writers and also doing some sightseeing. Taught a session today on dialogue and was happy with how it went. Nashville is very interesting and I’m looking forward to exploring it some more in the next few days. These pictures are from the Gaylord as well as Downtown Nashville!

Caridad Loves a Foggy Day in London

Like many of you, I am itching for things to change so that I can travel again. I have a number of places on my bucket list, including a city I’ve been able to visit a number of times: London. The first time was actually on a business trip where I had a short two day stay. The next was a little longer, like four days. That was during one of those weird NJ teacher breaks and the round-trip airfare to London was cheaper than flying to Florida! The last time was when my daughter was there for study abroad. Mama Bear that I am, I couldn’t be without my daughter for six months so we visited her when she had an Easter break from school. We had a lot of fun and got to see a lot of London. A very nice city with incredibly pleasant and funny people!

Today you can take an armchair visit to London with these photos I’m sharing. You can also go to VisitLondon.com for more information!

P.S. – As you can see from the photos, we didn’t have a foggy day. In fact, we usually had really nice weather, even the first two times when I visited in November!

#WisdomWednesday – Leaving Home with a Book

We didn’t have a lot of money when I was growing up so we travel was a luxury, but that didn’t stop me from visiting so many new places via the page of a book. I was always reading and I loved going to the library or waiting for the bookmobile to get a new book and explore the places it took me. So today’s wisdom is from Saint Augustine. Somehow appropriate since I went to a university run by an Augustinian order.

#TravelTuesday – A Trip to London

I’ve been blessed to visit London several times. A few times for business and research and then for a family vacation! It’s one of my favorite cities and I hope I get to visit there again soon. We’ve been lucky to be there for the British equivalent of Memorial Day and it’s inspiring to see how veterans and the military are honored. Today’s picture is a shot of the Tower of London where they keep the Crown Jewels and traitors. An interesting mix.

#TravelTuesday What places would you go with the Book Genie?

There are so many places I’ve been lucky to see, but still so many places I’d love to go! The Grand Canyon. Machu Picchu. The Great Wall. Vienna and Salzburg (a Sound of Music pilgrimage). Prague. Korea (with my #kpopsurfshop daughter!)

Of course, one of my fav places to go is the Jersey Shore and I hope you’ll enjoy seeing it through my eyes in the At the Shore series.

So how about you? What places would you go? Do you have a place from one of the books you’ve read where you’d like to go?

#TravelTuesday Some of my favorite places!

I don’t know about you, but I love to travel. My one big problem with traveling, however, is that I hate to fly. Totally hate to fly. Despite that, I have been able to go to a number of places for both work and pleasure. I still have lots of places I’d like to go and today I’m sharing my Pinterest board of all of those locales!

Take a moment to tell me about somewhere you’d like to travel!
