The Evolution of a Writer

I wonder sometimes what it is that makes someone want to be a writer. For me, it was a 5th-grade assignment to write a book for a class lending library. I started writing and never stopped. My daughter started writing stories in her journals when she was in middle school. I always involved her with my writing in various ways, from attending my book signings to helping out at our writers’ conference. When she finally told me she had written a book, I was over the moon and so proud. She’s written several now and is an Amazon bestselling author! Recently, she took her little one to her first in-store book signing. He loves to scribble in journals, and it makes me wonder: Will he find the spark to write a book in the future? I guess that’s the evolution of a writer. P.S. In the summer it’s a little hard to focus on things like my newsletter, but I will be sending one out shortly!
