Happy New Year! So excited for 2024!

OMG, it’s 2024! Another year and like I said yesterday, I’m so excited for 2024! I’m looking forward to a grandbaby and so much more. I’m working on a number of new books and have several Harlequin Intrigue releases starting with Sabotage Operation and Escape the Everglades in May and June. Also planning on a number of reader conferences starting with the Coastal Magic Conference in February! Also excited about presenting workshops, starting with the Liberty States Fiction Writers Conference in March! OMG so much!! What about travel? Well, that all depends on when the new baby will arrive and helping out my daughter and her hubby. Not complaining, though. It’s such a wondrous thing and honestly, having my daughter and seeing the person she has become is the greatest accomplishment of my life. What about you? What are you looking forward to doing in 2024?

Wonderful 2023 & Looking Forward to 2024

What a year 2023 has been! I was so lucky to be able to travel to a number of writer and reader conferences! I got to visit so many new places and spend time with my family and friends. My daughter and I both had several new book releases, but the most exciting is that my daughter is finally expecting a baby in 2024! I am so grateful for 2023 and looking forward to 2024! What about you? How was your 2023?

Shoutout Payback in Death by J.D. Robb

I got quite a number of great gifts for Christmas, including a new baby coming in July! But some of my favorite gifts were the books I received, like a cookbook of Italian favorites (is that a hint from hubby?) and the latest J.D. Robb book – Payback in Death! I absolutely love this series from Nora Roberts (writing as J.D. Robb) and literally drop almost everything to start reading when I get the latest release. What about you? Did you get any books for Christmas? Share and let me know what you’re reading!

Yearning for Warmer Weather & Florida Vibes

Winter has sprung and it has me dreaming of warmer weather! Luckily I’ll be heading to Florida soon for the amazing Coastal Magic Convention and a little bit of baseball spring training. I hope to also meet up with my old college roommate while I’m there and also maybe work on some new books for the South Beach Security series. Being able to actually visit the place where you’re setting your book adds so much realism to what you’re writing. It gives you the opportunity to soak in the smells, sounds, tastes, and feels of the place! If you haven’t had a chance to get the feels for the South Beach Security series yet, you can download it in print, audio, or e-book at https://amzn.to/3QBMj9J.

Lovely Visit to Longwood Gardens Christmas Light Show

My sister and I love going to Longwood Gardens, especially for the Christmas Light show and holiday decorations. It’s always amazing to see how they illuminate the many acres of gardens as well as the conservatory. We did a girls’ night this time and stayed overnight so we could really enjoy our time at the gardens. Dinner at their fabulous 1906 restaurant. We had some amazing mushroom soup, steaks, and incredible desserts! If you’re ever in the Kennett Square/Chadds Ford area, be sure to drop by the gardens. They are fabulous at any time of the year. P.S. – Like me, the heroine in More than a Mission is not only a kick-ass chef, she also grows much of what she features in her restaurant. Did I mention that the hero suspects she used poisonous plants from her garden to murder a prince. You can read more about More than a Mission at https://amzn.to/47hCjZN.

Happy Boxing Day and Fury Calls

Happy Boxing Day! It’s not a holiday we celebrate in the U.S., but in the United Kingdom it’s part of the Christmas celebrations! Many people exchange gifts or take advantage of Boxing Day sales. The holiday takes its name from the practice of employers giving small gifts to their employees or servants as a way to say thanks for all their hard work during the year. in The Calling is Reborn series, Blake Williams (one of my fav characters of all time!) is Welsh and he would have celebrated Boxing Day with his family. Blake came from a very impoverished family and sacrificed a great deal for them. When you first meet him he’s hard and sarcastic but he comes into his own in Fury Calls. Word of warning: This is a very dark fantasy with violent scenes, but I love how it showcases Blake’s growth, his love for Meghan, and his loyalty to his friends. You can find Fury Calls at https://amzn.to/48sdz1N.
