#ManCandyMonday – Carlo from A Sea Kiss Christmas

I’m hard at work on #3 in the At the Shore Series and it’s taken a turn to becoming a Christmas story so I’ve tentatively titled it “A Sea Kiss Christmas.”

This story picks up where #2 – What Happens in Summer – ends, but I don’t want to give you any spoilers for that one! Actually, I will share that this story is about wedding planner Emma and her sexy caterer Carlo.

Carlo has always been a gentleman and Emma’s go-to guy, but somehow I think I’m going to have to peel some layers off Carlo to get him and Emma together. Maybe even a little bad boy side we hadn’t seen before, like this sexy Santa. What do you think?

If you haven’t checked out the first book in the series, ONE SUMMER NIGHT, you can read three chapters for free at Radish or pick up the e-book for only 99 cents at various retailers.

#FunFriday – Annual Christmas Outing

Every year we do our annual Christmas outing to get our tree, a new ornament, and then head into New York City to see all the windows, visit favorite places, and check out the Nutcracker ballet. It’s always a fun day! Here is a video I put together from this year’s outing.

Also, you can now read the first three chapters of ONE SUMMER NIGHT for free at Radish Fiction! Check out it by clicking here or following this link: http://bit.ly/2AERQFk

#ThrowbackThursday – The Philadelphia Flower Show

I’m not a fan of cold weather and winter is tough for me. There is one thing that keeps my going until Spring arrives – The Philadelphia Flower Show. I love seeing all the amazing flowers and imagining how one day I could make my yard look like that – if only all the deer would go away! I especially love bulbs, like tulips, hyacinths, irises and more so today’s throwback is to some tulips from the 2010 Flower Show.

#WriteWed – Between the Pages of a Book SOLID GOLD BACHELOR by Kathye Quick

I have been struggling with focus and a massive project at work that is mentally draining me. Because of that, I needed something to take my mind off things and relied on my go to therapy – reading a book. “Between the pages of a books is where I want to be!”

Nothing could be more true and I was lucky enough to have received an arc of SOLID GOLD BACHELOR by Kathye Quick which is now available for pre-order. The ARC was received in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this second chance at love story between the responsible rich girl and the bad boy rock star from the wrong side of the tracks. Add in mobsters, murder and a secret baby and the story had my attention until the very end. Plus the icing on the cake was that it was set in New Jersey, adding that hometown element to the feel of the story.

Hope you have an easy Hump Day!

#TuesdayTip – Writer and Reader Conferences – Liberty States Fiction Writers

I love going to conferences. I always learn something new and I love meeting both old friends and new people at various conferences! There is something about being surrounded by readers and writers that always helps revitalize my creative juices. Plus, there is the opportunity to network and expand business connections and possibly connect with an editor or an agent. I met my agent at a conference and it was the best thing that’s happened to me in quite some time!

Today I’m sharing with you a conference that I’ll be attending in March 2018. It’s a fun reader and writer conference in NJ. Just a word or two of disclosure – I am currently the President of this organization (my way of paying it forward) and a founding member. I hope you’ll check out the Liberty States Fiction Writers Conference and come and spend some time with me! I’ll be sponsoring the Mardi Gras themed party together with the Book Obsessed Chicks and will also be presenting a workshop.

Registration is now open for the conference which features the fabulous Julie Kenner and Dee Davis as the keynote speakers and presenters. We’ve also got some amazing workshops on getting organized, handling rejection, social media, creating fight scenes with a professional stuntman and more! You can find out more about the conference at http://www.libertystatesfictionwriters.com/.

#ManCandyMonday Jonathan from What Happens in Summer

One of my favorite things about ONE SUMMER NIGHT was the interaction between Owen and his younger brother Jonathan. I loved the dynamic and I also loved bad boy surfer dude Jonathan because I knew he had a very special story that needed to be told. Jon’s story is in WHAT HAPPENS IN SUMMER which has turned out to be one of my favorite books ever! But back to Jonathan . . . He projects this “I don’t care” kind of persona and yet he cares deeply about so much. His brother for starters. By-the-book Connie who has never forgotten after their summer love affair. Emma, his female best friend of sorts. Dudley, his little rescue dog. The mother who went missing over twenty years earlier and still plays such an important part in Jon’s life. I loved doing Jonathan’s story and I hope you’ll check it out! WHAT HAPPENS IN SUMMER releases in June 2018, but is available for pre-order now at the following retailers:
