While researching this Christmas Carol, I came across an interesting background for the carol, namely, that it was written as a catechism lesson when Christians were being persecuted for their faith.
So what do three French hens represent? Faith, hope and charity and as some of you may know, Caridad means Charity in English.

It’s that time of year. The Christmas carols are playing in my office! I’ve made my list and I’m checking it twice. I’ve started making the grocery list for all the fixin’s for Christmas Eve, or Noche Buena as we call it. Getting ready for friends and family and most importantly . . . love.
I think this song from the Muppet Christmas Carol, a holiday tradition at our house and a favorite, sums it all up! If you can’t see the video below, you can click here.
