#ThrowbackThursday Ultimate Fan Girl Moment with Nora Roberts

There are some moments as a writer and reader that you will never forget. One of those moments was being invited to sign at the Turn the Page bookstore and sitting next to Nora Roberts at the signing! Well, sitting next to Nora’s fabulous son and assistant at the signing. Afterward, I got a chance to get a picture with her and chat with her a bit. She is such an open and lovely person. It really meant a lot to me then and it still does. Here are some pictures from that day and to prove I really did sit next to her, you can see the plaid shirt in both shots!

As for why I’m holding the plush beagle doll, I had a beagle named Spotty in THE LOST and he was keeping me company on my trip up to the 2012 RITA Awards.

#WriteWed Summer & My Little Balcony

My favorite time of year is the summer! I look forward to long strolls along the boardwalk, time spent reading romance novels on the beach, fireworks, and last but not least, writing on my little balcony.

It’s not big in size, but it’s immense in the peace it brings me as I sit out there writing or just hanging out with my hubby, enjoying a summer day.

I write a lot more on that little balcony than I do during the winter months when I’m trapped indoors by the cold. Brrr. Winter is so not my favorite time of year.

This morning I’m sharing with you some photos from that special space and hoping I can go out there again soon!

#ManCandyMonday Prince Harry & Military Men

Good morning! Hope you are all off to a good start to the week! I don’t know about you, but I think military men are sexy and while I was pondering who to share with you this morning it came to me – Prince Harry! He has been in the news lately about leaving the military, but during his time there, he has done a great deal to work with wounded soldiers. So today’s Man Candy is none other than one of the sexiest red-headed men out there in uniform!

#FunFriday Create Something Magical Conference & First Day of Spring

Woo hoo spring is here . . . oh wait, snow is on the way. Sigh. Just a little longer and maybe it will warm up!

In the meantime, I’ll warm up with some friends at the Create Something Magical Conference this weekend. I can’t wait to hear some of the panels, rub elbows with the readers and other authors, and spend time with my best friend, my daughter. Besides owning a fabulous surf and skate shop, she’s also an aspiring author. She self-published FOLLOWING JANE and she’ll be pitching her new book this weekend to some editors.

Very exciting.

To try and keep us optimistic that spring really is here, I’m sharing some flowers with you!
