Hope for the Warriors & Newman’s Own Foundation

As some of you may know, I donated part of my royalties from THE CLAIMED to HOPE FOR THE WARRIORS, a non-profit group that helps wounded veterans and their families. I just got an e-mail from them about their participation in the Newman’s Own Foundation challenge. Here’s what HOPE FOR THE WARRIORS said:

Hope For The Warriors® was chosen by Newman’s Own Foundation to participate in their first ever Crowdrise challenge:  Honoring Those Who Serve Challenge. The prize?  Whichever nonprofit receives the most donations will also receive $75,000 from Newman’s Own Foundation. What would it mean to win? $75,000 could fund three additional Above & Beyond Seminars , directly supporting more than 75 post-9/11 combat service members and their families as they transition into new civilian careers.

So I’m helping them to meet their goal! Please take a moment to possibly offer up a donation to help! To get it started, I’m making a donation! Join the team or share this post to help this wonderful organization meet its goal.

#ManCandyMonday Chris Powell

You all know I’ve been on a lifestyle change and it’s done wonders for me. I’m 45 pounds lighter, my cholesterol is down and I’m feeling fantastic! Like many people who have struggled with weight issues throughout their entire lives, I look for inspiration from both inside and out to help keep me focused on creating a healthier life for myself.

So, I’ve been a fan of BIGGEST LOSER, but I’ve just recently found EXTREME WEIGHT LOSS on ABC and let me tell you, I’m impressed. Why? Well, put people in an artificial environment where they can workout 4 or 5 hours a day and I’m pretty sure you’ll get results.

Teach and help people create their own 24/7 365 healthier and happier place. Not so easy.

Enter Chris Powell, today’s Man Candy choice. Besides being a total hottie, his upbeat personality, caring and thoughtfulness shine through and really help inspire the people on the show. It’s amazing to watch people learn to deal with getting healthier at home and during their regular lives. It’s also interesting to see the impact on those around them and how the entire dynamic of their lives changes.

So today’s hottie and totally awesome guy is Chris Powell! Go check out his show if you haven’t seen it. You can also find Chris at chrispowell.com and www.facebook.com/realchrispowell!

FOR LOVE OR VENGEANCE Blog Tour & NOW AND ALWAYS Playlist

Our FOR LOVE OR VENGEANCE release celebration continues with these two stops:

Come by and share your thoughts. Leave the HEED THE CALL comment there and at the other stops for a chance to win an autographed print copy of NOW AND ALWAYS and a REBORN T-shirt.

Speaking of NOW AND ALWAYS, if we play six degrees of separation, we don’t have to go very far from Cuban-American FBI Agent Miguel Sanchez, the hero in FOR LOVE OR VENGEANCE to get back to his hometown of Miami, where NOW AND ALWAYS is set.

With another degree of separation, we can skip over to Miami resident Gloria Estefan and this video for ANYTHING FOR YOU. Always thought the one guy in this video was kind of hot!

#ManCandyMonday William Levy & FOR LOVE OR VENGEANCE Release Day

FOR LOVE OR VENGEANCE from THE CALLING/REBORN Vampire Novel SeriesOMG, it’s the release day for FOR LOVE OR VENGEANCE from THE CALLING/REBORN Vampire Series, the 12th book in the series!

It’s really hard to believe that the first book in the series, DARKNESS CALLS, came out in 2004 and I want to thank all of you for sticking with me and with the series. I really appreciate it.

Today is of course, Man Candy Monday and I thought I’d share with you which tasty man I’d cast as the hero from FOR LOVE OR VENGEANCE, sexy FBI Agent Miguel Sanchez.

Like my hero FBI Agent, today’s Man Candy is Cuban-American and probably well known to you from his stint on Dancin’ With the Stars! He’s also been a star on various soap operas and telenovelas and also has a movie coming out soon – ADDICTED.

If you haven’t guessed by now . . . it’s William Levy! I could so see him playing Miguel Sanchez and whispering sweet Latin nothings in the dark of night. OMG! I hope you enjoyed today’s Man Candy Monday and thanks again for all your support for THE CALLING/REBORN Vampire Series.

#Vampire Playlist FOR LOVE OR VENGEANCE

Counting down the minutes until the release on Monday of FOR LOVE OR VENGEANCE! OMG! Plus, we’ve got some special pricing for you on THE PRINCE’S GAMBLE right now through October 5. It’s only .99 if you haven’t had a chance to read Prince Alexander’s story!

But back to vampires . . . so love them, although the heroine in FOR LOVE OR VENGEANCE is something very different: She’s a goddess. The Goddess of Vengeance actually which means her role in life is to take names and kick ass. Until she meets the hero, of course, and realizes that there is a vast difference between justice and vengeance.
