Thursday 13 Things I’ve Prepped for the RT Conference!

I can’t believe the RT Book Reviews Conference is just next week! ACK! Where has the time flown? I’ve been in the throes of prepping one costume (for the Gangster-themed ball), swag for attendees and also, swag for those who come by to purchase books. So much to do, so little time.

But here’s my list of 13 things I’ve prepped (or will prep) in time for next week’s conference!

1. Business cards. I have them somewhere in the mess that is my office. I must find them.

2. Recipe cards. Thanks for your advice last week. Many of you expressed an interest in recipe cards and I’ve made a collection of 4, each of them themed to one of my releases. If you’d like to receive a set as well as some other swag, please e-mail your postal address to cpsromance at att dot net. I’ll send them out to you while supplies last.

3. Buttons for THE CLAIMED! I love buttons.

4. Memo boards for keeping track of grocery lists and other important things.

5. Postcards.

6. Bookmarks.

7. Goodies for the NAME THAT VAMPIRE panel at RT.

8. Goodies for an Author Scavenger Hunt at RT.

9. Handouts for the workshop I’ll be doing Wednesday night at the Windy City Romance Writers. I am so looking forward to meeting all of you!

10. Goodies for the booksellers’ gift.

11. Giveaways for the SOS Mixer. This event is always near and dear to my heart as it honors the military men, women and families that sacrifice so much on our behalf. I’ve put together some nice gift bags for them and I hope they like them!

12. Goodies for those readers who pop by to buy some books. I’m thinking a few mouse pads, post-its, posters, and other fun swag.

13. My clothing. Ack. Have only thought about what I’ll wear, although I did start to glitterfy by CLAIMED T-shirt for the big book signing. I just love glitter. Why is that you think?

Anyway, thanks for indulging me as I make my list of these things! There is just so much to keep track of. Like the posters for my table in Promotion Alley. Oh oh. Better double check that list.

If any of you are in the Rosemont/Chicago area, I’d love to see you at the Book Fair on Saturday. It’s open to the public and runs from 10:45 to 2 in the Grand Ballroom of the The Hyatt Regency O’Hare Hotel, 9300 Bryn Mawr Avenue, Rosemont, Illinois, 60018.

One other thing I’ve prepped and have to try, a way to post blogs from my phone. I hope to share with you all the conference happenings as they are ongoing!

Release Day for THE VAMPIRE’S CONSORT & Audible Version

THE VAMPIRE'S CONSORTYep, I know I’m a couple of days late. I’ve been crazy busy at work, finishing THE PRINCE’S GAMBLE and prepping for the upcoming RT Convention. But tomorrow I’ll let you have a new little excerpt from my April release THE VAMPIRE’S CONSORT.

Also just found out that is available as an Audible Audio Book!

So exciting. Many thanks to all of you who have ordered it already. I even have my first review and many thanks to the Paranormal Romance Guild for taking the time to read it.

Paranormal Romance Guild – 5 Stars: “Caridad Pineiro has written such a sensual story of love and yearning that will have your heart breaking for these two star crossed lovers dying for each other. Actually, it has been 200 years, six months, and 3 days that they have yearned for each other.”

#ManCandyMonday Paul Brown from Auction Kings

I think you all know by now I am a geek at heart. I read the encyclopedia as a kid, loved taking things apart, dreamed of adventure, and finding all kinds of cool things. I guess that’s why my taste in reality shows runs to things like Storage Wars and Auction Kings!

Today’s Guilty Pleasure is Paul Brown, the owner of Gallery 63 where Auction Kings is set. There is just something about Paul’s sense of humor, little boy grin, and hot bod that have me watching the show!

Let me know what you think of this tidbit from Discovery Channel’s Auction Kings.

If you can’t see the video below, you can click here to watch.

Amazing Wedding on the West Coast

Hubby and I got invited to a must do wedding on the West Coast. It was tough to fly out for just a few days and fly back, but so worth it. The wedding was absolutely amazing and we did have a day to just hang and check out Crystal Cove State Park and Balboa Island. Very cool places. So I’m sharing some photos for you from our too short jaunt!

Can’t wait to go back in July for the RWA National Conference and share some more time with my California friends.

Advice needed – Conference Goodies!

Not only am I in the throes if RITA-inspired giddiness, working on a deadline for one book (THE PRINCE’S GAMBLE) and soon to be due novella (FEAST WITH A VAMPIRE), but the RT Book Reviews Convention is almost here and I need to round up/prepare some conference goodies!

Ack! I do have a fun giveaway on its way (hopefully), as well as bookmarks, some posters and postcards, but I am now considering what else to do and need your advice.

I was toying between a booklet with a short excerpt or a collectible recipe card featuring my covers and a Jersey Shore inspired recipe since so many of my latest books are set there. The recipe card would be autographed as well.

What do you think about that idea? Recipe card or booklet or something else? This really tired and overworked mind would love to know which you would prefer.
