A happy garden surprise!

I’m still dealing with car repairs and the writing deadline. We’ll see our little one later when we drop off the car, which is thankfully totally repaired. But in the meantime, I had a happy garden surprise when I went out to water: a swallowtail caterpillar. Nerd that I am, I’d give up the entire parsley plant if that would maan more butterflies! Happy 1st Day of Summer

It’s the summer solstice, and you know what that means? HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SUMMER! For the first time in weeks, we’re waking to sunshine and the possibility of a fabulous day. We’ve had an exceptionally wet month, and I’m so grateful for some sun and a chance to get outside. Hopefully, I’ll be able to sneak in some time at the beach and in my garden, checking it out since I haven’t been able to do any work in it for a few weeks.
