I’ve got a little break in the writing schedule and have been busy plowing through my TBR read pile, especially my pile of books in the IN DEATH series by J.D. Robb. That got me thinking about today’s Guilty Pleasure, namely, if I had to cast Roarke in a movie, who would I choose.
The first name that came to mind was Pierce Brosnan (in his prime, of course). He’s Irish and has blue eyes. I’ve seen him with long hair and he’s yummy. He’s elegant and lethal in a tuxedo.
I have to confess, I fell in love with him when he was Remington Steele and thought he’d be the perfect James Bond. Unfortunately, the screenplays they stuck him with in that franchise were horrific. Nothing like the great writing going on now with the Daniel Craig version.
So if you’re familiar with the series, who would you pick to play Roarke?
Also, does he have a last name? For the life of me, I can’t ever remember it being said with any regularity.
Finally, who is the candy bar thief. I just read CONSPIRACY IN DEATH and there is a scene AT HOME where the candy bar disappears and Roarke is telling Eve that she has to eat healthier. Could it be Roarke or someone working for him that is the candy bar thief?
