Being an FBI Agent is the way Diana deals with the trauma created by the death of her father, a Miami-Dade police officer who was gunned down in a drive-by shooting and died in her arms. Diana suffered a minor wound as well during the shooting.

Diana has the tattoo of a heart with a dagger through it on her right shoulder blade to remind her of the pain of giving your heart to someone. . . including Ryder Latimer.

She is aggressive and by-the-book which often has her butting heads with Ryder’s Old Southern ways. Trained in the martial arts and an expert shot with her Glock, Diana can save herself and also on occasion, Ryder.

Diana has strong family ties, in particular, with her younger brother Sebastian who gets caught up in vamp shenanigans when he becomes involved with Ryder’s keeper, Melissa Danvers.
