Distinguishing Features: Michaela is half-vampire, half-human. She possesses the strengths of a vampire, but not their weaknesses to some things. However, unlike a vampire, she is not immortal.

Michaela is a twentysomething damphir who as a child watched her mom be murdered by the vampire who had raped her mother years earlier and is her father.
She is adopted by a kindly police officer along the Jersey Shore after her mother’s death, but since then Michaela has been working the Vampire Council to eliminate vampires who turn or kill humans. Her goal: To kill the vampire who raped and killed her mother.
