The Blood Bank

Location: Lower East Side, Manhattan

Run by Foley and unknown to everyone, owned by a vampire elder who appears in a number of future books.

The BLOOD BANK is a totally edgy Goth bar where vamps and humans alike go to get a little pain and the bite of something dark. For the humans, it’s the liquor and the back rooms filled with an assortment of accoutrements to help them satisfy their most extreme pleasures.

For the vampires, it’s a place with only one rule — No Siring the Humans (at least on the premises). Foley, the apparent owner of the place, always has the best libations for his vamp guests, usually a nouveau vintage fresh from one of the locals. Sometimes, one of the humans is willing to allow a sip from a neck in order to live out their dark fetishes.

The outside of the bar is nondescript. It’s just a doorway off a small alley on the Lower East Side. A large vamp bouncer stands at the door as people line up for entry. Only vamps are shown past the rope immediately.

One of the visitors to the back rooms at the BLOOD BANK — an unsuspecting snack for one of the vampires!Inside, the bar is rough and seedy. Everything is in black, from the walls to the tables, chairs and bar. The violence of the place is palpable in the dents and gouges along the tabletops and surface of the bar.

For Blake Richards and Diego Rivera, it was the place to be until they met Ryder Latimer and discovered there were other human wanna-bes and other places to go. Both Blake and Diego have been known to spend some time in the back rooms, enjoying the pleasures of a human lover or the ecstacy of sex with another vampire.

As Ryder discovers that his dark side appeals to him and explores his vamp powers, it’s a place in which he will spend more and more time. It’s a place where he and Diana will enjoy themselves in the back rooms as well.
