The Lair

Location: Tribeca, Manhattan

Vampire-themed nightclub owned by Ryder Latimer where humans go to walk on the edge. Sometimes frequented by an assortment of vampires, although the vampires know that Ryder has a strict No Blood-No Bite policy.

The vampires all know that when they want to feed or satisfy other needs, they head to the BLOOD BANK.

The inside of THE LAIR is built to resemble a cave, with bats hanging from the ceiling. Drinks are all a tongue-in-cheek homage to Ryder’s vampire existence. The bar is stainless steel with a neon sign above it that says THE LAIR in bright red letters that look like they are dripping blood down onto the surface of the bar.

THE LAIR is crowded due to the hot DJs and bands that Ryder brings into the club. Unlike the human visitors to the BLOOD BANK, the humans who visit the THE LAIR are only playing at living on the edge.

When Ryder was still in denial mode about his vampire existence, he sensed others like him in the club but didn’t involve himself with them. His involvement with Diana, however, inevitably leads him to not only acknowledge the existence of others like him, but to become involved with them.

As that involvement grows, the other vamps will visit Ryder at the club more often. As Ryder finds himself attracted to the darkness and powers of the vampire world, he will find himself frequenting the BLOOD BANK more often than he would like.
