Last days for #Giveaway

Just want to remind these are the last days for the giveaway! I’m still hard at work on THE PRINCE’S GAMBLE (July 2012) and will be back shortly with some fun things.

Here’s some pictures of the memory box for you! I made this with an old cigar box, beads and an assortment of shells, many of which I found along the Jersey Shore. The two pictures on the memory box are ones I took of locations that appear in THE LOST and THE CLAIMED paranormal romances.

RITA® Nomination for THE LOST and Congrats to all the Finalists!

THE LOST Paranormal Romance from Forever RomanceWow was the first word that came to mind when the representative from the Romance Writers of America® called to say that THE LOST was a finalist for the RITA in the Paranormal Romance category.

Wow! The RITA is the equivalent of an OSCAR in the romance world and my book is a finalist. Wow.

(Can you tell I am still in disbelief and shock and sooooo excited!)

Thank you to RWA and all the judges who took the time to read THE LOST. Thank you to all the final judges who will take their time to read the book.

Many thanks to all of you who have read it and let me know how much you liked it and also, a big thanks to my editors. I hope you will like the second book in the SIN HUNTER series, THE CLAIMED (May 2012), as well.

Wow. A big congrats to all the other RITA finalists as well as all the Golden Heart finalists. I see the names of many friends on both and am totally excited for you! If you want to check out who else is nominated, you can click here to see the list.

#ManCandyMonday It’s Tebow Time!

I was all ready to go out and buy a Tebow Denver Broncos jersey when they decided to go with Manning. No don’t get me wrong, I like Peyton Manning, I’m just not a fan of how they treated Tebow. I mean, taking down his photos immediately and trading him for a 4th and 6th draft round pick? For a man who helped get you into the playoffs?

No class. My one hope is that the Jets will treat him better, giving him a chance to maybe run the Wildcat for them or using him in another position, like halfback.

So anyway, It’s Tebow Time in NYC and I’m all for it! This photo is one of him from high school when he played in the All-American game.

Oh no you didn’t! #IamnotaB @GBC @Apt23

It seems to me there is something wrong in this world when a network not once, but twice, finds it acceptable to use the BITCH word in program titles in reference to women. To me, the B word is as much a pejorative as slut.

In case you don’t know what I’m talking about, it’s ABC’s recent and upcoming premieres of GBC (aka GOOD CHRISTIAN BITCHES) and DON’T TRUST THE B—- IN APARTMENT 23 (their strikeout, not mine).

So I guess I’m wondering, why isn’t there more of a hue and cry over this derogatory term being applied to women? In fact, why do some women call themselves BITCHES as a way to bond? A search of the Internet revealed quite a few sites aimed at women using the B word.

How do you feel about the use of the B word to describe women? Offensive? If you do find it offensive, maybe take a moment to tweet #IamnotaB @GBC @Apt23 to let ABC know or click here to visit ABC.COM and send them a message.
