Very Special Boobs Between the Books

My amazing friend Stacey Wilk is involved with Evolve Pink, an organization that provides support to women dealing with the effects of breast cancer. To raise funds for that group, I am taking part in a very special event with Stacey and several other authors: Boobs between the Books. Join us on Saturday, June 8 for this wonderful event. Memorial Day Thoughts

I know that we’re all grateful for a day off from work so that we can relax, maybe have a BBQ with friends, or head off to the beach or some other favorite spot. But whatever you’re doing, please take a moment to remember and honor the sacrifices of our military men and women who made all that freedom possible. Please consider helping out our veterans and their families who may be having issues because of their service on our behalf. Upcoming June Events

I can’t believe June is almost here! I’m really chuffed (Watching too many shows on Britbox) about these two upcoming events! If you’ll be in the Flemington area, please join us for the Boobs Between the Books, a fabulous event organized by my awesome friend and fellow author Stacey Wilk! A portion of the authors’ proceeds from this event will be donated to evolvepink.org, an organization for women dealing with breast cancer.

For my Long Island peeps, I’ll be appearing at the Gold Coast Book Fair in Oyster Bay. The panel and most events are free, but you must register for it! I’ll be on a panel and signing books thereafter, but there are also lots of fun events going on all day!

Pine Trees or Palm Trees & Good News!

It seems like spring weather is finally coming this week which means I’ll get to spend some time on the beach, reading under my umbrella. The beach is my happy place and yes, there are some palm trees since people bring them into their yards for the summer season. Of course, not like in Florida where the South Beach Security K-9 series is set! Or where…and here is where the good news comes…the SBS Colorado Spinoff will take place! I’m happy to say I’ll be writing another 4 books in the series and even more fun, you’ll get to visit with Rhea and Jackson from COLD CASE REOPENED, one of my fav books! So look for pine trees in the future SBS books. Now for today’s This or That! Do you prefer places with palm trees or those with pine trees? P.S. – Just one more day until the first book in the K-9 series — SABOTAGE OPERATION — hits the shelves!

National Classic Movie Day

It’s National Classic Movie Day and I have to confess, it’s been a long time since I sat down to watch a classic movie. But if I did, it would be a movie like Casablanca, Goldfinger, Rear Window, The Wizard of Oz, and To Catch a Thief. A favorite that’s not “classic” is A Walk in the Clouds with Keanu Reeves. There is something so over-the-top about these movies that draw you in, whether it’s the action, location, or cinematography. I had all three of those in mind when I wrote To Catch a Princess. This romantic suspense is set in luxurious Monaco and features a princess and detective trying to stop a cat burglar from stealing a collection of priceless jewelry. The princess is also battling against a marriage arranged by her parents. Little does she know that the detective who she’s falling is the secret prince her parents want her to marry! Help Stop Soldier Suicide

Happy Book Birthday to the Strength & Honor Anthology! When my friend and fellow author Sharon Hamilton asked me to take part in this anthology, I couldn’t say “no”, especially when I heard that the proceeds from the anthology would go to an organization that helps prevent soldier suicide. The Strength & Honor anthology contains 11 short stories featuring military heroes battling their inner demons and finding their happily ever after. My contribution to the anthology is Stay the Night, a steamy story about a Navy Seal who is coming home to a woman who is nothing like the young girl he left behind.
