It took my daughter about a year to get enough hair to cut, but then it was time! First haircut time! Hard to believe so much time has passed since this day.

#TeaserTuesday – Maybe not a romance?
So I just finished one book and am back at work on another book that’s very special to me because it includes a lot of real-life stories about my family and our escape from Cuba as well as what we’ve experienced in America, almost all good may I say. Part of that fictionalized story includes a relationship between a sexy Cuban-American and the heroine who is trying to learn more about her family. Is the book a romance? I’m not really sure it is because a big part of the story is about reconciling three generations of women who have drifted apart. But there is a strong romantic element. So my question is, Would you read a story like that? One that explored the emotions of the three women and had a secondary romantic element? I’d love to hear from you and don’t forget to check out this week’s giveaway at https://www.facebook.com/Caridad.Author/posts/10157196197695913.

#WriteWed – So happy to share this news!
I am so excited to share this news with you! I have accepted a contract to write two new books for Harlequin Intrigue and I’ve just finished writing the first one today! It was so exciting to write THE END on the first draft. COLD LIBERTY (tentative title) is the story of a young woman who won’t give up on finding out what really happened to her twin sister on the night she disappeared. Together with a detective who believes the case should be further investigated, they set out to discover the truth and find danger and love along the way high in the Colorado mountains. I hope you will enjoy this story when it comes out in March 2021!

#ThrowbackThursday – David Wright’s Last Seasons
My daughter and I were lucky enough to get to see David Wright play in one of his last games. This game was actually in 2015 and David got injured while stealing second base. Immediately after that it seemed as if his problems really got worse and it was quite some time before he came back to play his very last games. We love David. A solid third baseman with great leadership. Truly the Mets captain for then and for always as far as we’re concerned.

Happy Mother’s Day
Wishing you all a very Happy Mother’s Day!

#WriteWed – So Much Happening and Good News!
I’ve just finished my revisions for SOUTH BEACH LOVE which is my romance for Hallmark that will be out in May 2021. That means I’m back to my manuscript for the next Sourcebooks release. I’ve tentatively titled this one EXILED HEARTS and it’s a story about three women – grandmother, mother, and daughter – who have been apart and are now attempting to end their separation and move on with their lives. It’s more women’s fiction, but there is a romance between the daughter and a sexy Cuban-American. Last but not least at all — I’ve just signed a contract to write a romance for Harlequin Intrigue! WOO HOO! The tentative title on that one is COLD LIBERTY and I think you are going to love the story. I am so so excited about everything that’s going on and I’m finding that I am actually able to write so much more now that I am retired from the law job. All good things happening in what is otherwise a very weird and troubling time.
I hope you are all safe and sound and staying healthy. I pray for a swift end to this pandemic so that we can all get back to our normal lives. Well, even to a new normal so that our country can start moving forward again.
