It’s no surprise that one of the most popular Monday hashtags is #MondayBlues because let’s face it, getting up on Monday mornings to go to work is tough after the weekend. It’s why Happy Monday is an oxymoron because very few people are happy on Monday morning. I always find it tough to get up at 5 a.m. (yes you read that right) and head to work instead of hanging out on my little balcony writing my heart out. And while walking on the NYC streets on my way to work can be fun at times, it doesn’t beat an early morning stroll on the boardwalk. Sigh. Is it any wonder that I’ve got Monday blues? How about you? Do you love Mondays?

#TravelTuesday – Come visit with me at the RWA Literacy Signing!
So excited to be heading off to the RWA National Conference this week! While hubby is minding the fort, I’ll be in New York City, mingling with old friends and making new ones. I’ll also be attending workshops, visiting with my publishers: Hallmark and Sourcebooks. More importantly, I’ll be taking part in the Literacy Signing on Saturday, July 27th. This wonderful event is from 3 to 5 pm in the Westside Ballroom (5th Floor) of the Marriott Marquis. Not only will you be able to meet hundreds of authors, but all the proceeds will be donated to a local literacy group. #ThrowbackThursday – 4th of July Fireworks
I love the 4th of July! I love the parades and most especially the fireworks. I also love knowing that I’m in a country that where I have freedom and rights I would not have had in the country of my birth. It’s why I get choked up every time I hear the national anthem or God Bless America. I know I am the one who is blessed. For today, some photos of the fireworks from the Jersey Shore. #WriteWed – What’s Up With the At the Shore Series and Celebration Time!
Many of you have been writing to ask when #3 in the At the Shore series will be coming out! Thank you! I’m happy to say that I’ll be releasing #3, tentatively titled A SEA KISS CHRISTMAS, on November 12th just in time for the holiday season. I love Emma and Carlo’s story and I hope you will also. Plus you’ll get to meet Carlo’s sexy brothers Tomas and Paolo and I hope to do their stories sometime next year.
Next year is also going to be exciting since I’ve accepted an offer from Hallmark to do a book for them and cross your fingers that it’ll be chosen to be a movie. The tentative title of that book is SOUTH BEACH LOVE and as you can guess from the title, the book is set in South Beach and the nearby Miami area. As soon as I can tell you more, I will, but for now, look for it to possibly be out in June 2020!
I’m also working on preparing the next books in THE CALLING IS REBORN vampire novels for release. I’m hoping to get DEATH CALLS out in the next month. #MatineeMonday – Something new and a little wine!
Starting something a little new here for Mondays – a discussion of some of my fav new and old movies and television shows! On the flight down to New Orleans for the Book Lovers Con I downloaded WINE COUNTRY from Netflix. I love Amy Poehler and Tina Fey and so this was a must try and I was not disappointed. This tale of six friends spending a celebratory weekend in Napa is funny and thought-provoking at the same time. I even re-watched it with hubby and men will also enjoy how this group of women skewers many of the things faced in middle age. Warning, there is some cursing, minor nudity, sexual references, and some drug stuff (and I so like how this resolved by the way!).
