Wicked Wednesday – Wounded Heroes and BLOOD CALLS

There’s something wickedly interesting about wounded heroes. You know they’ve either been bad or have had something bad happen to them which makes them all that much more intriguing. Will they stay good or become bad again? Can they be trusted? So many more questions and things that you can do with them.

BLOOD CALLS is definitely all about wounded heroes. Diego Rivera was a Spanish Lord before his wife betrayed him to the Spanish Inquisition because he had been selfish and unfaithful. Ramono Escobar has had a hard life, including a stint in juvenile detention when she got mixed up with the wrong crowd after the death of her father and her mother’s illness.

Fix-up Friday!

No, you are not going crazy. There were posts the last two days only the server migration that I thought was over wasn’t and they’ve disappeared into the ether of cyberspace.

These things happen, so I’m going to try and recreate the posts today and tomorrow.

Wicked Wednesday was all about DESIRE CALLS, the free novella that’s up at eharlequin.com right now (you can click here to start the read!)

Gulity Pleasures Monday – Daniel Dae Kim

First of all, I hope you all enjoyed your virtual vacation with me! If you dropped me a comment and I didn’t answer, please forgive me but I was surfing on borrowed bandwidth and it was sometimes hard to keep track of all the e-mails and comments.

It’s back to work after vacation Monday, which means I need a double dose of Guilty Pleasure.

This Monday, I’m going for someone totally exotic — Daniel Dae Kim! You may recognize him from LOST. Continue reading “Gulity Pleasures Monday – Daniel Dae Kim”

Happy Easter and Rome – The Final Days

rabbit.jpgFirst of all, a very Happy Easter to everyone. I hope you will have a wonderful day and maybe enjoy some of that Pizza Rustica I had mentioned earlier. It’s freezing cold in New Jersey, so we’ll have to bundle up to have that Easter Egg hunt.

Yes, we’re back at home, but later on in this post there’s a last little bit on our wonderful trip to Rome.

Being here has so filled my head with a flavor for ancient Rome! I’ve been able to finish the first draft of FATE CALLS, the Christmas vampire book thanks to the trip, but here’s a question for you –

What do you think is a sexier name: Hadrian or Adriano?

Let me know and you may find yourself in the dedication to this next novella.

Rome Day 4 – Exhausto

I don’t think you need to know Italian to know what that word means. Way tired, but enjoying all the different sights.

Today we did some shopping. Nothing fancy, mostly walking around and checking out all the stores near the Spanish Steps. Got a few hairy eyeballs from the salespeople at DIOR and those ultra-expensive shops. By contrast, the people at D&G were quite friendly and we bought a little something.

Weirdest thing we did today — visit the Crypt of the Capuchin Monks where they decorated the altars, etc. with human bones. Macabre to the max! For more on this, you can click here to check out their official site (Make sure to use the link to THE CRYPT).

Here’s some more pictures for you!
