OMG, in just a few days it’s the book birthday for SOUTH BEACH LOVE, my very first book for Hallmark! I had so much fun writing this story about two chefs who end up in an unexpected competition when they agree to help their nieces with their Sweet 15 parties. Did I mention the chefs had been falling in love before they find themselves as rivals? This is a feel-good romance packed with humor, family ties, friendship, and amazing cooking. Come help me celebrate and party at the SOUTH BEACH LOVE release party on May 25 at 7 PM EST. Get ready for some fun, prizes, and recipes from the book. South Beach Love is a story of rival quinceañeras, glorious cooking, friendship, family ties—and romance. RSVP here: https://fb.me/e/d1uDxMeq7.

Time to Party on #FridayReads
Imagine that we’re having a party and you could bring as your date a fav author, and also your fav drink, and snack! Who and what would you bring? I think I’d bring William Shakespeare, some champagne, and Cheetos. Yes, Cheetos those telltale snacks that I can’t eat while writing!

To paint or not to paint?
I showed you a picture a couple of weeks ago of one of the handmade shell and bead decorations that I do. Many of you said that you would like to get one of these handmade items as part of a giveaway. So I’ve started working on one but have a big question for you?
To paint or not to paint? I normally make these memory boxes using cigar boxes because I like recycling them to help the environment. Sometimes I paint the exteriors, but I think that I’d like to keep their history for this memory box. What do you think? Paint the cigar box or not?

It’s Friday! Let’s Play a Game!
It’s Friday so let’s play a game. We’re all meeting for dinner and maybe drinks. What will you order? I’ll have some guac and chips while I wait for you!

Caridad’s Favorite Pizza and TV Night!
Friday night was always our pizza and family TV night. We would order a pizza, place our tray tables in front of the television, and queue up our favorite kid’s shows, like Rugrats, Rocco’s Modern Life, or Doug. It was so much fun just to spend time together like that after a busy week at work and school. We still keep some of those traditions alive by using our special pizza plates when we are getting together for a casual Friday! How about you? What’s one of your favorite Friday or family rituals?

The Best Way to Spend a Holiday Weekend
There is no more perfect way to spend a holiday weekend than with family and I know many of you are missing that! I hope you get to see your family and friends soon! With both Passover and Easter coming over the weekend, how are you spending the holiday weekend? For me, it’s definitely with family, namely, my hubby, daughter, and her husband. (Still hard to think of my little baby as married, but yes, she is!) Oops, and Donald. Don’t want to forget our favorite duck.
