#ManCandyMonday James Brolin

There are some actors that get better with age and James Brolin is one of them. I saw him recently with that leonine mane of white hair and thought, Wow! Especially at 72! Aw, gosh, I can’t believe he’s that age.

But he was pretty darn cute as a youngster and today I’m sharing with you a blast from the past: James Brolin as Dr. Steve Kiley from Marcus Welby, M.D. which ran from 1969 to 1976.

Here’s to aging with grace!

#ManCandyMonday Prince Alexander Ivanov

You may be wondering what I had in mind when I thought up Prince Alexander from THE PRINCE’S GAMBLE.

Exotic would be a good word to describe him off the bat. FBI Agent Kathleen Martinez certainly thought so at her first meeting with the prince.

Despite his tone and attitude, it was hard for Kathleen to ignore that he was an incredibly handsome man. The pictures and clippings in her file had not done him justice.

Ivanov stood at least six foot two with broad shoulders that strained the expensive fabric of his designer suit. His well-muscled upper body flowed into lean hips and powerful legs.

She dragged her attention back to his face. The muscles in his chiseled jaw clenched with annoyance. It was hard to tell if he had full lips from the angry slash of his mouth. High cheekbones served to highlight winter blue eyes with an exotic tilt. Or maybe his eyes only seemed clear as the sky due to the midnight hair ruthlessly styled into place.

Two gorgeous men in one day, and just her luck they were both connected to her investigation. But while Detective Roman still possessed a hint of boyishness in his features, Alexander was a man with a capital M. Her flare of attraction to him was disturbing on several levels.

LOL, definitely a MAN with all caps. But the things that I found most intriguing about Alexander were the many layers to his personality. Alexander is a man shaped by hardship and yet privileged as few can be. That really brought a number of different traits to him that I found fascinating and that Kathleen did as well.

I hope you’ll enjoy finding out more about Alexander in THE PRINCE’S GAMBLE.

Now to leave you with a little of my inspiration for the prince!

Jeep Diva & Reading Cafe #giveaway & #ManCandyMonday

Before we jump into #ManCandyMonday, take a moment to visit with me at Jeep Diva and The Reading Cafe. We’ve got some giveaways for you there!

Today is a tough Man Candy Monday. My brain is all wonky, thinking about what it is that is sexy in a man.

Brains for one. I love smart men.

Honor and courage. I guess that’s we all love those stories with military men, firefighters and law enforcement types.

But what physical things do you find attractive? I’d love for you to share this morning.

For me, hands are a turn on. Nice, strong, lived in hands. Also, that little vee on either side of a guy’s hips. Yummy.

Also, dark hair and light eyes. I just love that combination if you haven’t guessed from some of hte books.

Take a moment this morning to share what you find attractive in a man. I’d love to hear about it.

#ManCandyMonday Tim Tebow & Blog Tour & #Giveaway

Today’s Man Candy is the awesome Tim Tebow. I guess he is on my mind today as the Jets prepare for their Monday night game and I’m left wondering when Coach Ryan is ever going to use him in some meaningful way. So far Tim has been wasted on the sidelines.

There are so many critics of his football abilities and I always ask myself why? Here is a young man who is a leader to his teammates, led both his high school and college teams to championships and was the only underclassmen ever to win the Heismann Trophy. Let’s not also forget how he lead the Broncos to an AFC West title and first playoff game since 2005.

Hmm. Gotta wonder about the detractors. Maybe his style isn’t pretty, but Tim has got heart. Lots of it.

That heart doesn’t stop on the football field. When he’s not playing, Tim does all different kinds of volunteer work and is known for his generosity of his personal time and money with those in need. He has founded the Tebow Foundation to help others and participates in several other charitable organizations.

Heart. Do you hear that Coach Ryan? It reminds me of my Alma Mater, Villanova, playing the much more dominant Georgetown team in 1985. Villanova was an immense underdog, but it had heart. It never gave up and went from the lowest-seeded team in the tournament to a national championship.

Speaking of heart, it’s exciting for me to have the upcoming release of KISSED BY A VAMPIRE.  It’s not just the new release, but rather the very intriguing heroine of the book, Stacia.  Stacia is a 2000 year old vampire who doesn’t believe she is capable of loving anymore, but she couldn’t be more wrong and I loved proving that to her. This story is sexy, emotional and touching. Plus it has the glitter and glamour of a South Beach backdrop.

#ManCandyMonday Sasha Roiz

I am so hooked on Grimm and although we’re not sure if his character on the show, Captain Sean Renard, is a good guy or bad guy. What I do know is that he’s hot, hot, hot.

Here’s a little more for you on the mystery of Renard. So what do you think? Good or bad?

#ManCandyMonday Denver Bronco Eric Decker

While I’m not a Denver Bronco fan on account of how they treated Tim Tebow, I still watched the game last night for a bit and my eye was caught by this delicious Man Candy: Wide Receiver Eric Decker.

This 6’3″ Minnesota native and former Golden Gopher (Go Gophers!) was also drafted by the Minnesota Twins to play the outfield, but opted to play football instead.

In either sport, Decker was a standout in his early career and I wish him all the best this season! If he ever went into acting, I could so see him playing Ryder from THE CALLING/REBORN novels. How about you? Can you picture him as Ryder?
