Guilty Pleasures Monday – THE CALLING Heads to South Beach

After FURY CALLS, which will feature sexy punk vampire Blake Richards and Meghan Thomas, we’re going to take a little trip south for a change of pace in ARDOR CALLS. Wicked Wednesday – A Wickedly Good Review and Nomination!

It’s always nice to hear from all of you or to find out online that someone really enjoyed your book! This week it’s been a dose of doubly good online news about two different books. The new, but promising to be wonderful blogspot, PASSION POSTINGS, offered up a great review of the SOUTH BEACH CHICAS books.

Guilty Pleasures Monday – Football Players

football1.jpgI have to confess. I spent part of Saturday and Sunday watching football. I haven’t done it in years, but this year hubby and I got back into watching the Jets and Giants.

We won’t even talk about the Jets, but the Giants have been a pleasant surprise. Yesterday’s game was amazing. A 48 second touchdown drive and a second half defense that held back the Cowboys. Fun Friday – A new addition to the blog

I could not wake the inner Fashionista this morning. The weather was gloomy and wet. The only thing I could think about was slipping on my Columbia rain/winter boots so that my feet wouldn’t get wet.

I hate wet feet. Must be the cat in me!

Actually, the more I thought about, the more I realized how hard it is for me to do the Fashionista thing on a regular basis now that my daughter is on hiatus due to the demands of school.

So it occurred to me to spice Fridays up by offering some fun stuff that I can do! So, look for Fun Fridays on a regular basis. I’ll be posting things you can do on the ‘Net as well as possibly some humorous jokes that have come my way.

To get you started – some online puzzles. When I was a kid, my mom, sis and I would spend hours together working on puzzles. One time it took us a few months to finish one of those really complex gazillion piece puzzles, but we did it!

Guilty Pleasures Monday – Chasing Away the Chill

Hot Buns Chase Away the ChillIt occurred to me that we had grown fixated on abs and that sexy little V all through last year and so I decided to give you a change of pace — some nice hot buns to chase away the winter chill.

I don’t know about you, but winter is my least favorite season primarily because I hate the cold. I can tolerate the rain, even the gloominess and yes, even the snow, but not the cold. I’m convinced that it’s because I’m just not genetically ready for it yet. Having been born in Cuba, my body craves heat and not ice (except maybe in my mojito).
