#ManCandyMonday Idris Elba

I’d noticed Idris Elba off and on in various programs and movies, but he really snagged my interest in the BBC One series LUTHER where he plays a detective with very deep and scary secrets. It’s a fabulous dark psychological crime drama and we binge watched it on Netflix. I highly recommend it if you love police dramas and if you love London. It was awesome seeing them running around in places we had been lucky enough to visit.

#ManCandyMonday Bradley Cooper in American Sniper

It’s been a crazy couple of months with the holidays and work and writing obligations. Since Saturday was a rainy and dreary day, my hubby and I decided we were going to go to the movies, especially since there was one movie we both really wanted to see: American Sniper. We had actually wanted to go on Friday night, but it was sold out. We weren’t the only ones interested in going. The movie added another 64.4 million in box office sales to last week’s 107 million dollar take. Since release, it’s made nearly 200 million dollars.

Why the interest? Well, for me it was to maybe learn more about Chris Kyle, America’s deadliest sniper and a man who by all accounts was multi-faceted and a hero. He died trying to help a fellow veteran and earned both Silver Stars and Bronze Stars during his military service. If you want to find out more about Chris Kyle, click here for a well-rounded article. Why do I say “wel-rounded”?

There are those who will decry both Kyle and the movie. All I can say is that I thought the movie was thought-provoking and sad. You all know I support our military and that I’m as patriotic as can be. I went into the movie with those sentiments and I left the movie with those sentiments. War is hell and the movie shows that. God bless those who brave that hell for us.

I have to say that Bradley Cooper has surprised me yet again. He’s far beefier in the movie than in Silver Linings Playbook or his other movies. He looks a lot like Chris Kyle with the addition of a neatly trimmed beard. The transformation is amazing as was Bradley’s acting. For that, I’ve chosen him as today’s Man Candy!

#ManCandyMonday Nicholas Hoult

The other day I finally got around to watching Warm Bodies. Loved it! An interesting premise that was really well done. The zombie hero was really really adorable and quite cute, even in zombie mode. If you haven’t seen it, you really must watch it.

Imagine my surprise when that same cutie showed up in the latest Jaguar commercials. There is just something sexy nerdy about him that I can’t resist. So here’s Nicholas Hoult, hero from Warm Bodies, and the bad boy in the Jaguar commercials.

Here’s another fun thing from the Warm Bodies Facebook page!

#ManCandyMonday Rafe from STAY THE NIGHT

I have to confess that I really love Rafe from STAY THE NIGHT and since many of you don’t do Facebook, you’ll have missed him during last week’s #ManWars so I’m sharing him with you today.

What I love about Rafe is that he’s a big strong Navy Seal and seemingly invincible and yet inside, he’s so vulnerable and so in love, but battling it out of fear of being rejected. He feels as if he’s been left behind in the five years that he’s been at war while his wife has become someone whom he barely recognizes.

I also loved tackling a story where the romance is about two people who are already married. Let’s face it. Marriages have ups and downs and you can fall in love all over again sometimes.

You’ll see more of Rafe and his wife Elena in ONE NIGHT OF PLEASURE that I hope to have out for you in mid-February. That is if I can get past post-holiday blues and work issues. I’ve been outlining the story and hashing out some language with my daughter. She liked what she heard, so I hope that’s a good thing.

In the meantime, I hope you like sexy Navy Seal Rafe.

#ManCandyMonday Cleveland Browns’ Jordan Cameron

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year! I’m back from some much needed time off and feeling rejuvenated. It was awesome to spend time with family and friends. Hubby and I did a road trip down to Florida and had a nice time. I’ll share some photos of that soon.

Today is . . . Man Candy Monday! Yeah! I don’t know about you, but I spent part of yesterday watching the Wild Card playoffs. Today’s hunk isn’t on any of the teams that played, but he caught my eye during the season. Jordan Cameron is a Pro-Bowl tight end for the Cleveland Browns. He played football at USC and is 6’5″ and 250 pounds of awesome!

Thanks to Jordan’s Instagram for this lovely photo. Take a moment to like him there for more photos and info. If you can’t see the photo below, you can click here.

Sweet action shot from the game.

#ManCandyMonday Holiday Santa & Christmas Photos

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year! This is a busy time of the year so I hope you’ll excuse me a slightly erratic blog schedule until January 5 when things will calm down and be back to normal. I’m still wrapping and decorating and tomorrow is our big day to go get the Cuban specialities for the Christmas Eve dinner. Tomorrow is also the day I start cooking for all the guests that we are going to have for the holiday. I can’t wait, but for now, I want to leave you with this tasty Man Candy Santa and some photos from our annual trip to New York City to see the decorations.

#ManCandyMonday Tom Brady from the New England Patriots

Sorry I missed you on Friday, but I’ve been having a month full of computer issues. Sigh. Luckily, I’m close to being back to 100%.

I have to confess that I find myself becoming a Patriots fan mostly because of Tom Brady. He’s handsome and more than that, he seems like a genuinely good guy with a solid work ethic. So today’s Man Candy choice is none other than future Hall of Famer Tom Brady!
