Is Soup a Meal? You decide!

Is Soup a Meal? You decide! We have a running disagreement with friends as to whether soup can be a meal. My hubby and I love soup, and in the winter, we usually have soup at least once a week for dinner. We love having a hearty soup, whether it’s chicken soup with noodles or matzoh balls, or a ham, chorizo, and bean soup like the one in the photo! What about you? Do you think soup can be a meal? P.S. If you’re new to me or any of my series, I have several first-in-series or standalones, like my fav romantic suspense, THE FIFTH KINGDOM, available for 99 cents. Hands Up if you The Great British Baking Show

Hands Up if you The Great British Baking Show! I usually don’t post about controversial issues, but hubby and I just watched the Patisserie Week episode and could not believe who was sent home. SPOILERS AHEAD, so if you haven’t already watched this episode, you may want to stop reading at this point. We were so upset, we literally screamed at the TV! Granted, Toby, who is normally the star of the technical bake, really flubbed badly. But Aaron’s mousseline was curdled, and his macarons and show stopper were not the best. Paul seemed truly angry with Tom’s choice of the chocolate sculpture and was unimpressed with the bee macarons. Toby knocked his show stopper out of the park! So, if you watch the show, what did you think? Do you agree with the decision on who to send home?

5 Tropes Romantic Suspense Readers Love

There are at least five tropes that romantic suspense readers can’t get enough of! I have my favorites too. Ones like bodyguard romance (hint hint), enemies to lovers, kidnapping rescue (another hint hint), and so many others. Today I’m highlighting five that I love and that I think readers love! If you love them also, please take a moment to check out the Crooked Pass Security series and grab your copies today at https://amzn.to/47cmo2o.

What Makes Monday Better?

I had a great time at Book Lovers Con, but now it’s time to get back to my regular routine. I’m working on #4 in the Crooked Pass Security series, and I can’t wait to share more with you about this story. It’s a tough one because the heroine has amnesia, and all clues point to the fact that she’s a criminal. Deep down inside, she knows she’s not, but how does she prove that? Fun, right? For me, writing, a tasty cup of coffee, and some beautiful flowers always make a Monday better. What about you? What makes your Monday better? P.S. The first book in the series, CLIFFSIDE KIDNAPPING, releases on July 1, but you can pre-order your copy today at https://amzn.to/4jkrGeQ.

Happy Sourdough Bread Day

This is not an April Fool’s Day joke. It’s also National Sourdough Bread Day and I’m so glad for it. I love sourdough bread and I’m lucky to have an enthusiastic sourdough bread maker in the house – my hubby. I got him a sourdough bread kit this Christmas and he turned his attention to baking loaves just like the one in the photo! He’s become quite good at it and regularly makes loaves for our daughter, son-in-law, and neighbors. What about you? Do you love sourdough bread? P.S. If you’re an audiobook listener, don’t miss out on this 99 cent sale on all seven audiobooks in the South Beach Security series! Grab your audiobooks today at https://amzn.to/3XH66cq.

Chase Away the Monday Blues

When I had my full-time job, I sometimes had the Monday blues about going to work. Actually, they would start on Sunday morning, LOL! I always tried to overcome them by thinking positive thoughts and things that brought me joy, like my garden and writing. Now that I’m writing full-time, I never get the Monday blues! I look forward to sitting down and working on my latest book. Nowadays it’s #4 in the Crooked Pass Security Series (as yet untitled). I also love when hubby comes through the door with the little grandbaby and we spend time together. He’s a happy baby that always makes me smile and laugh! What about you? If you get the Monday blues, how do you chase them away?

Winter Bucket List

Somehow fall passed right by me and I didn’t get to do some of the things I used to do. No apple or pumpkin picking. No visit to the local farms to pick some lovely sunflowers. Since winter is technically here, I decided to make a list of things that I’d like to do before spring arrives. Hopefully I’ll get a few of them done in the next two weeks, namely visit a Christmas market (photos next week) and have a nice tea with a lovely neighbor. What about you? Any special things you want to do this winter? P.S. Hopefully one thing on your list is to pick up your copies of KILLER IN THE KENNEL (available now) and DANGER IN DADE (a Christmas Eve release)!
