For those of you who have been waiting since book 1, DARKNESS CALLS, for Maggie and David’s story: HERE IT IS! Finally, yes, I know, but like Diana and Ryder’s story, I really felt that Maggie and David needed an intensely deep and powerful story line for their romance.

FOR LOVE OR VEGEANCE Vampire novelStill doing the happy dance over the return of THE CALLING vampire series as THE REBORN vampire series. Today we’re having a free read from FOR LOVE OR VENGEANCE, the first book in the relaunched series, but the 12th in THE CALLING.

A lot of you have been wondering, “Why a Goddess and what role will she play in future books?”

Well, you know I like to change things up. That’s why the series has been a mix of paranormal and human suspense stories. It’s also why I did things like bring in a chupacabra and a chiang shi vampire.

After discussions with my editors, they thought something REALLY different might be interesting and after much thought, I turned to something I really love: mythology. That’s where the idea of having a Goddess was born.

Will you see Helene and Miguel in future books? You’ll hear about them in the next book, TO LOVE AND SERVE, which begins a three-story arc about Diana and Ryder. You will see Miguel and Helene in a future book as the god/goddess world brings trouble to the human realm. Possibly in book 5 of the REBORN series. I’m working on the idea for that book right now, but first you’ll be treated to a novella next year and then book 5!

#FreeRead THE LOST & Fundraising for HOPE FOR THE WARRIORS

I wanted to honor our military and their families and the sacrifices they make. In part, that was what inspired Bobby Carrera from THE LOST. I wanted to try and show some of the struggles that our wounded vets go through when they come home. So today’s free read is from THE LOST and features Bobby as she deals with her wounds and what Adam is making her feel in so many ways.

Even after I wrote THE LOST, I felt like I could do more and because of that, I donated part of my royalties from THE CLAIMED to HOPE FOR THE WARRIORS, a non-profit group that helps wounded veterans and their families. I just got an e-mail from them about their participation in the Newman’s Own Foundation challenge. Here’s what HOPE FOR THE WARRIORS said:

    Hope For The Warriors® was chosen by Newman’s Own Foundation to participate in their first ever Crowdrise challenge:  Honoring Those Who Serve Challenge. The prize?  Whichever nonprofit receives the most donations will also receive $75,000 from Newman’s Own Foundation. What would it mean to win? $75,000 could fund three additional Above & Beyond Seminars , directly supporting more than 75 post-9/11 combat service members and their families as they transition into new civilian careers.
