#ThrowbackThursday – My Baby Doll Pepito

One of the few things I was able to take out of Cuba was my baby doll. His name is Pepito and this is a photo of Pepito holding a photo of me sleeping with him. No, I don’t sleep with him anymore, but he sits by me while I do my writing. My daughter’s friends think he’s a little creepy, but he’s been my constant companion for a long time.

#ThrowbackThursday – Parrot Jungle Visit

Pulling old photos from all kinds of places and came across this one of my sis and me at Parrot Jungle in Miami. We loved this place and would visit it when we went to Miami to visit my paternal grandmother. I also took my daughter there when we visited South Beach, although I think it’s called Jungle Island now.

#ThrowbackThursday – A Visit to Santa

I’ve been packing and unpacking, going through so many things that were tucked away and I found some older photos of my sister and me! This is a fun one of us visiting Santa. Have a great day and stay safe and healthy out there.

#ThrowbackThursday – Grateful Immigrants

With the 4th of July only days away, it seemed only right to share this photo of some immigrants who are very grateful to be in America. My grandmother and mother are to the left. I am to the extreme right and my sister is to my left. God bless America and Happy Birthday!

#ThrowbackThursday – A New Chapter in My Life

It’s hard to believe that it’s time to move on, but as my daughter wisely pointed out, “That was the married have a kid chapter. Now you’re in in the enjoy yourself chapter.” Very true. Now it’s the writing full-time and having time for a stroll along the boardwalk part of my life, but saying goodbye is so very hard to do. (Feel free to sing along to that past part). So I’m taking away lots of great memories and some photos like this one! We snapped this after they had finished pouring the front porch we added during renovations. My daughter is the question mark since I was pregnant with her when we undertook those renovations. Murphy’s Law at work.
