Wishlist Wednesday

Apologies for not posting the last two days, but the blizzard that hit the Jersey Shore upset all the travel plans for our return trip from the Coastal Magic Conference! I had a lovely time, and now it’s back to reality. Or is it? I couldn’t help but think about what is on my wishlist for the months to come, and arrived at these three things: Beach time, tomatoes from the garden, and road trips with my daughter! I can’t wait for those, and some will come sooner than later, like the road trip. We’ll be heading to Authors Rocking Little Rock in late March, and if you’ll be in the area on March 21, I hope you can pop by and meet us! P.S. Watcha Watching Wednesday?

Let’s do something completely different today! What are you watching? Hubby and I recently watched Quiz Lady with Awkwafina and Sandra Oh and LOVED IT! Guess what this is?

I love walking along the water’s edge and seeing what kinds of shells I can find. I have jars filled with shells from all the beaches I’ve been lucky enough to visit. Hubby also keeps an eye out for me and this time he located the object below. We’ve been trying to figure out what it is and don’t really have a clue other than that it’s something that’s clearly been touched by human hands. So I’m reaching out to all of you to see if any of you can guess what this is!

Real or Permanent Christmas Trees?

For as long as I can remember as a kid, we had a live tree that we usually bought at a local Christmas tree stand. When hubby and I had our daughter, we started the tradition of going to the Anne Ellen Christmas Tree Farm to chop down a tree. Here are some photos from this year’s adventure!

But now for the important question! Would you rather have a Real or Permanent (Fake) Christmas Tree? For me, it’s always real, even though it’s been tough for us to find one that really fits in our downsized townhouse.

Best Wedding Dress Ever

Whether we’re talking about Trapping a Terrorist or South Beach Love, we all want a romance to end Happily-Ever-After. Personally, I love seeing the wedding at the end of the story! That’s the final icing on the sweet promise of a romance novel. But if you’re having a wedding you need a wedding dress! So many choices to make. White or blush or some other color. Veil, no veil. Sleeveless or not. And of course, long train or short train. Personally I love a long train, but nothing like Priyanka Chopra’s 75 foot wedding veil! What about you? Which one do you prefer?

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from a Celt

Although my parents, siblings, and I were all born in Cuba, my grandparents all came from Galicia, a province in the north of Spain. This area of Spain was home to many Celts and some theorize that Celts actually originated in this area and spread throughout Europe and to Ireland. As in Ireland, bagpipes are also quite common in Galicia. When my sister did her DNA test, it revealed that she was about 18% Irish, a further testament to the connections between Galicia, Ireland, and the Celts! So this Celt is wishing everyone a very happy St. Patrick’s Day!
