#ManCandyMonday A Double Treat Taye Diggs & Ian Anthony Dale

I caught a promo for Murder in the First and it intrigued me. So far, I’m enjoying it. Caution, though. It is very violent at times, but the intersecting story lines are very interesting as are the characters.

Two of the heroes are police officer and are today’s Man Candy: Taye Diggs and Ian Anthony Dale.

You may know Taye Diggs from RENT and a number of other movies and shows. Ian Anthony Dale first caught my eye in Hawaii Five-O. So enjoy today’s double dose of Man Candy!

Now I have to say one thing about the article on the types of calories not mattering as much as the calories themselves. I’ve been using my Fitbit and religiously tracking what I eat and how active I am. When I eat the same number of calories, but include “bad carbs” such as bread, crackers, cookies and pasta, I not only gain weight immediately, but I experience belly bloat and other things. I’m not saying you all will experience the same thing, but you need to listen to your body and what it’s telling you about the food you’re eating.

2 Ingredient Ice Cream #FoodieFriday

It’s hard to believe. I know. I find it hard to believe as well, but the recipe says that all you need are two ingredients and 12 hours to have homemade ice cream. I am definitely going to have to try this one. Maybe add some mix-ins like crushed Oreos, a Heath Bar or Butterfinger bar. Maybe some strawberries or mango.

Ingredients

2 cups heavy cream whipped to stiff peaks
1 14 oz can condensed milk

Directions

Whip heavy cream into stiff peaks and then fold in condensed milk.

If you want to do any mix-ins, add them now. Place in airtight container and freeze for 12 hours. That’s it. The consistency of this ice cream will be more like gelato I understand, but I can’t wait to try this!

#WriteWed Upcoming Projects

I want to thank everyone who has been writing to ask about series like Take a Chance, The Sin Hunters, and The Calling is Reborn. I do plan on having more stories in those series and I figured I’d tell you what’s up with me project-wise for the coming year.

I had a great time at RWA National and pitched a new contemporary romance series to two editors. I’m in the process of reaching out to someone to represent that project and hope to have it out shortly.

I’ve got a number of stories in the Jersey Girls series that I plan to have out in September, October and November. Two of the books are baseball-themed and were never published before! The third book is a Christmas-themed story.

Embrace the Night and Fight for Love are new works in the Take a Chance and The Calling is Reborn series. The plan is to have Embrace out in September and Fight for Love in October.

I’m also revisiting The Shattered, which is Sammie and Ryan’s story in the Sin Hunters series. If all goes as planned, that will be out in early 2016.

Last, but not least, I loved the thief from To Catch a Princess and am hoping to have his story for you in 2016 as well.

What’s up after that? More stories because a writing is always writing.
