Yet More Wicked Thoughts

On Monday we were talking about what turns you on in a man. Hands. Face. Eyes. Working man’s physique. Thanks to all of you who commented and provided help as I busily revise my current work-in-progress.

Which brings us to today’s more wicked thoughts segment. With stories getting sexier by the millisecond, what are the things you like and dislike seeing in your stories?

For me, a story isn’t really sexy unless there is some emotional connection between the hero or heroine. Even if it’s lust at first sight, there has to be the promise of more between them for me to really get involved in the story.

How about you? Do you need that emotional connection? Must there be a happily-ever-after or the promise of one for you to be satisfied at the end of the story?

Guest Blogging on Fitness and Writing

As my regulars know, I’ve had an up and down battle with my weight for some time. I recently lost 30 pounds and am trying to continue on that trend by working out and eating right. It’s more than just about losing weight, however. It’s about being healthier.

Thursday 13 – Summer Wishes

Those who know me know I am like the Energizer bunny after a double-dose of a triple venti Starbucks coffee. I’m always on the go. So this summer I plan on doing something different: relaxing. Well, at least relaxing as much as I can because I really can’t just get away from it all for a variety of reasons. Still, I am going to do my darn best to plan my spontaneity. LOL!

So this morning’s Thursday 13 is a list of my summer wishes! Feel free to add your summer wish as a comment!

1. Relax. I want to dip my toes in the water and just take it easy.
2. Read more. My TBR pile is looking too much like the Washington Monument.
3. Relax.
4. Sell a proposal to Harlequin Desire. I just love these books and so wish I could get back into writing contemporary romances.
5. Relax.
6. Hope the new books sell well.
7. Get to the beach more.
8. Take long naps on the beach.
9. Enjoy early morning and evening strolls along the boardwalk.
10. Lose more weight and be healthier (unfortunately that flies in the face of #11).
11. Eat a short shot ice cream at Day’s every weekend night.
12. Relax.
13. Try my hand at self-publishing some of my earlier releases and a new story.

Nasty Tuesday

Thunder and lightening, everything is frightening . . .

Bradley Cooper & Lots of Excitement!

It’s a dreary Monday here, but we have with us today a man who is hot and humorous. Doesn’t get much better than that!

Today’s Guilty Pleasure is Bradley Cooper who is in almost everything lately. Bradley first caught my eye in ALIAS and apparently attended Villanova for a year before transferring some other school that shall not be named. LOL! I still haven’t seen THE A TEAM although it’s still on my list. Maybe over the summer weekends when I’ve got a little more time.

Paranormal Romance THE LOST

I’ve got a little teaser for you from the first book in my new paranormal romance series – The Sin Hunters from Forever Romance.

THE LOST will be out on July 26, 2011 and I can’t wait for the series to start. It’s a radically new concept: Energy gatherers who can become anything they want, suck energy from anything in nature – including humans – and use that energy was weapons in a variety of ways.
