#ThrowbackThursday Beauty & the Beast

One of my all time fav movies is Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. I think it got cheated out of the Oscar for Best Movie the year it was nominated. When we went to Disney last year, one of the most awesome moments was being able to have dinner at the Beast’s castle. The place is absolutely amazing and you feel as if you are stepping right into the movie.

#WriteWed The Boys of Summer & Jersey Girls

I love baseball which is what led me to write two baseball-themed books that you’ll see later in the year as part of the Jersey Girls Contemporary Romance series. I love the strategy of the game. I love that you can be any height or size to play. I love the uniforms, especially on cuties like David Wright.

Last night I got to go to the Mets-Phillies game with my daughter and here are some photos for you! But before I go – It’s also the release day for the Jersey Girls Contemporary Romance Series #1. If you like sensual and emotional stories, I think you’ll like these novels with sexy heroes, smart women, and a glimpse of some very different parts of New Jersey! You can order the box set here:

#TeaserTuesday Taming the Bachelor

TAMING THE BACHELOR contemporary romanceI could so identify with Daisy Ramos, the heroine in TAMING THE BACHELOR, when I wrote that book. She was smart and a science geek. Two things that always seemed to turn off the men in her life even though she was also a very sexy woman. I think Daisy and I share two of the three traits – smart and science geeky. LOL!

Anyway, because of that, Daisy and this story of her finally finding a man who isn’t afraid of her is very special to me. I actually had an old high school crush confess to me many years after high school that he’d been afraid to ask me out because of those traits. Luckily I found a man strong enough to appreciate my many talents and who puts up with my not so neat form of organization.

Jersey Girls Contemporary Romance Box SetTAMING THE BACHELOR was re-released on April 1 and is specially priced at 99 cents. You can also get the book as part of the JERSEY GIRLS Contemporary Romance Box set which is available for pre-order and releases tomorrow. It’s priced at 2.99 for 3 books, so it’s still a bargain as well! You can order the box set here:

#ManCandyMonday Grady Sizemore

It’s that time of year when a young woman’s mind turns to thoughts of sexy men in tight baseball uniforms! LOL! Yes, it’s baseball season and my Mets are at .500. Hoping for that and more this year!

Today’s Man Candy is one of the boys of summer: Grady Sizemore. Grady started his MLB career for the Cleveland Indians, but was signed by the Phillies for the 2015 season. Grady is a three-time All-Star choice, has won two Golden Gloves, and a Silver Slugger award.

What do you think? Isn’t he a cutie?

#FunFriday Cats Sleep in the Weirdest Positions

We have two cats and I’m so jealous when I see them stretch! I wish I could stretch like that!

Our little one, Slate, sleeps in all kinds of weird positions. He especially loves to have his head hanging over something. I’ll have to snap a picture for you of one of those weird positions.

But for now, something to make you smile this Friday: Cats sleeping in weird positions. It should be good for a chuckle or two.

Have a great weekend.

#WriteWed Struggling with Fear

When I first decided that I would have an amputee hero in my upcoming release, EMBRACE THE NIGHT, it was because I wanted to explore how someone handles such a life-changing situation and how they restore balance to their lives. To do this I watched a number of videos about below-the-knee amputees like Zack, my hero, and read a lot about heroes with such wounds and what their lives were like now.

It’s been uplifting in so many ways and scary. I find myself wondering if I can truly do justice to the character in my story. In reality, although physically wounded, Zack is actually the more together of the two protagonists. The heroine, Samantha Whittaker, has still not dealt with the emotional wounds from her time in the Navy.

Sigh. My fear of not doing these characters justice has me stumbling, but as Samantha just realized in the latest scene I wrote, you can’t let fear stop you from taking a chance on something important.

I hope I can remember that as I continue their story. I hope to finish it in the next few weeks and have it for you in early May. For now, here is an inspiring moment with Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess on Dancing with the Stars.
