#MatineeMonday – Something new and a little wine!

Starting something a little new here for Mondays – a discussion of some of my fav new and old movies and television shows! On the flight down to New Orleans for the Book Lovers Con I downloaded WINE COUNTRY from Netflix. I love Amy Poehler and Tina Fey and so this was a must try and I was not disappointed. This tale of six friends spending a celebratory weekend in Napa is funny and thought-provoking at the same time. I even re-watched it with hubby and men will also enjoy how this group of women skewers many of the things faced in middle age. Warning, there is some cursing, minor nudity, sexual references, and some drug stuff (and I so like how this resolved by the way!). P.S. – If you’re wondering who I would be in this movie, definitely the Amy Poehler character. I map out our vacations but am sure to allow for that 20 minutes of planned spontaneity. LOL!

#ManCandyMonday Taron Egerton

This cutie first caught my eye in Kingsman: The Secret Service. Great movie if you haven’t seen it yet! Then he did an amazing turnaround and played Eddie the Eagle in the movie with that name. He was unrecognizable. Up next for Taron, voicin Johnny in Sing and the Billionaire Boys Club (2017) and Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017).

Will be looking out for him in the movies! Hope you enjoyed today’s Man Crush Monday!

I love NEW GIRL, but not because of Zooey Deschanel. I LOVE SCHMIDT! He has absolutely stolen the show IMHO, especially with his romance with CeCe. So today, I’m sharing a little interview with you with Max Greenfield, the cutie who plays Schmidt on the show.

Guilty Pleasure Monday Jeffrey Donovan

My husband has gotten me hooked on BURN NOTICE. It’s hard not to get involved with not only the interesting tidbits provided by ex-CIA Agent Michael Weston during the narration which appeal to the suspense writer in me, but also the wonderful cast of characters.

I love explosion-happy Fiona in particular, but there’s also no denying that the dapper and unflappable Michael Weston (played by Jeffrey Donovan) is a big draw.

If you haven’t watched the show, try to catch it in re-runs or online. The mix of suspense, comedy and romance (although could we get a little more of this BURN NOTICE writers!) is great.

Guilty Pleasures Monday – Kevin James

I’ve seen it over and over again and can’t agree more – The sexiest organ on a man is his brain. Especially when you couple it with using that brain to produce humor.

Humor is so sexy and for me, Kevin James is one of those examples of a man who is sexy by virtue of being funny and totally endearing. This is a shot of him in HITCH where he stole the show from Will Smith (another hottie) with his portrayal of a totally socially inept man in love from afar with a gorgeous and uber-wealthy woman.
