#TravelTuesday RWA 2018 Denver

Sorry I’ve been missing, but I’ve been out of town for writing conferences. I really enjoyed the International Women’s Writing Guild conference and hope I’ll be able to go back next year.

The RWA conference in Denver this year was nice. I got to hang out with old friends, make new ones, and attend a workshop. I wish I could say more positive things about it, but unfortunately I felt my conference was marred by the actions of some. Just my humble opinion, but it was one shared by others. I’ll leave it at that. For now, sharing some photos from Denver. It was a fun city and I enjoyed being able to visit the Margaret “Molly” Brown house as well as the Brown Palace Hotel and Spa (no relation to Molly!).

#ThrowbackThursday – #IWWGTakeover and My First Book Signing

I’m very excited to be doing a takeover on Instagram with the fabulous The International Women’s Writing Guild!

I am also very psyched to be attending my first IWWG conference in July! I’ve wanted to go for so many years and am honored I get to teach a course on writing Commercial Fiction as part of the conference. I hope to share with you all the info I’ve gleaned in nearly 20 years as a published author.

In all those years I’ve helped launch two imprints, have become a NY Times and USA Today bestseller, and have faced the challenges of a rapidly changing publishing market. If you’re attending I hope you’ll enjoy the different classes I’ve prepared for you!

Since it’s #ThrowbackThursday, how about a toss back to my very first book signing. That’s my daughter with me (who has also written a book). It was a very happy moment after many years of writing and trying to get published.
