#ThrowbackThursday RT Book Cover 1999

Today’s throwback seems somehow appropriate since I’m going back to my contemporary romance roots with the At the Shore series. I’ve been very happy to hear all your positive comments about how much you liked those original novels and how you’re looking forward to the new stories. ONE SUMMER NIGHT will be out in October 2017 and I think you will really love that Romeo and Juliet tale. It’s even got a balcony scene, but not in the way you might expect. Please take a moment to add ONE SUMMER NIGHT to your Want to Read pile on Goodreads!

This is the cover of my very first novel, NOW AND ALWAYS, on the cover of Romantic Times magazine. I was told by a reputable source that the cover model was the famous John DeSalvo.

#WriteWed Chrysler Building & Jersey Girl Bridesmaids

I am so excited to say I’ve finished the first book in the Jersey Girl Bridesmaids series, tentatively titled Since We Were 18. It’s off to my agent for a read and final tweaks before it goes to my new publisher Sourcebooks.

I am really happy about how the story turned out and I hope you will enjoy this sexy, emotional and fun tale about a Romeo and Juliet relationship, without all the tragedy. Okay, some drama, but a very rewarding Happily-Ever-After.

Two of the Jersey Girls, Maggie Sinclair and Connie Reyes, actually work in Manhattan just yards away from each other in the Chrysler Building and its Annex. Why there? Well, because this is where I work and hang during the day, so I thought I’d share some of that with you.

Maggie’s office is in the Chrysler Building so today’s Write Wednesday is some photos of that lovely place. It is without a doubt my favorite building in all of Manhattan. There is so much attention to detail and quality in the materials used. It really was a labor of love for Walter Chrysler. It shows in every aspect of the building. I am going to try and get some more photos for you of the gargoyles and other elements that are high up so you can truly appreciate some of the secrets of this building! But for now, some photos from the lobby through which Maggie Sinclair walks every morning (lol like me).

Ocean Grove Inspiration for the At the Shore Series #WriteWed

I am busy working on the first book in the Jersey Girls Bridesmaid series, tentatively titled SINCE WE WERE 18. This is a Romeo-Juliet kind of story about the son and daughter of two wealthy families that have had a feud going on for a couple of decades.

The heroine, Maggie Sinclair, is trying to save her family’s chain of upscale department stores while the hero’s father would love nothing more than to see them fail so he can gobble up the prime real estate where the stores are located.

The hero, Jax Pierce, can’t understand his bitter and very unhappy father nor the fight with the Sinclair family. If anything, Jax has kind of been in love with Maggie since a moonlit kiss on the Jersey Shore when they were both 18 (hence the title).

The two family businesses are in NYC and Jax and Maggie live there, but both families have homes on the Jersey Shore and at heart, Maggie is a Jersey Girl as are Maggie’s two BFFS, Connie and Emma.

There will be lots of scenes in New York, but also lots of time spent on the Jersey Shore as the three friends come to terms with always being bridesmaids and never brides, and try to find their own happily-ever-after.

Today I’m leaving you with some photos of the Jersey Shore locations that have inspired me as I write this book.

The Jersey Girls Bridesmaid series will be available starting in 2017.
