#WriteWed Read. Write. Repeat.

For the past two weeks I’ve been struggling with how to get my characters from the Take a Chance series together with Paige Tyler’s Dallas Fire & Rescue Series since I’m doing a novella for Paige in her Kindle World.

Since my novella is a crossover, I kept on battling with how to get a Jersey heroine to my Dallas firefighter hero. For two weeks I’ve been banging my head about this when the most obvious answer finally came to me. Move the hero to New Jersey!!

So after some more research, I’ll be starting this novella and getting it banged out in time for the January release. The title? HEAT OF THE NIGHT. The hero? A former Navy Seal turned firefighter who was friends with Rafe Castillo from STAY THE NIGHT and Captain Mark Smith from ONE NIGHT OF PLEASURE. Can’t say more, but I’m looking forward to writing this story!

#FreebieFriday JUST ONE NIGHT #Military #Romance

The cooler temperature this morning was a sure reminder that fall is just days away. I love this time of the year at the beach. I think it’s one of the best times to go! Saturday I plan on going into Ocean Grove for their British Car Show. I love looking at all the beautiful automobiles, especially the MGs. I always wanted one as a kid.

Today I’ve got a free read of JUST ONE NIGHT for you today! JUST ONE NIGHT is the first book in the Take a Chance Military Romance series.

Here is a little blurb for the story! You can download the free read here: http://www.instafreebie.com/free/mpx6b

#ManCandyMonday Loving the Lifeguards & Surfers

Who hasn’t worshipped those wonderful sun-tanned bodies from afar? I remember many a day at the beach, sneaking a peek at them and thinking about just how cute they were and buff. Most were so buff. Sun-streaked hair. Sigh.

Of course, the beach also had the sexy surfers like Zack from EMBRACE THE NIGHT (free on Kindle Unlimited). I can picture Zack as a lifeguard on the beach also, can’t you?

If you haven’t read EMBRACE THE NIGHT yet, it’s in the HOLDING OUT FOR A HERO box set (free on Kindle Unlimited) and the TAKE A CHANCE Volume 2 box set!

#WriteWed Upcoming Projects

I want to thank everyone who has been writing to ask about series like Take a Chance, The Sin Hunters, and The Calling is Reborn. I do plan on having more stories in those series and I figured I’d tell you what’s up with me project-wise for the coming year.

I had a great time at RWA National and pitched a new contemporary romance series to two editors. I’m in the process of reaching out to someone to represent that project and hope to have it out shortly.

I’ve got a number of stories in the Jersey Girls series that I plan to have out in September, October and November. Two of the books are baseball-themed and were never published before! The third book is a Christmas-themed story.

Embrace the Night and Fight for Love are new works in the Take a Chance and The Calling is Reborn series. The plan is to have Embrace out in September and Fight for Love in October.

I’m also revisiting The Shattered, which is Sammie and Ryan’s story in the Sin Hunters series. If all goes as planned, that will be out in early 2016.

Last, but not least, I loved the thief from To Catch a Princess and am hoping to have his story for you in 2016 as well.

What’s up after that? More stories because a writing is always writing.

Romancing the Military ManI’ve also got some more box sets coming out for you this year! I’ll have more info on those shortly, but for right now, check out Romancing the Military Man which is now available for pre-order. Also take a moment to help us out by clicking here to support our Thuderclap campaign. We also have an awesome giveaway going on for this box set and you can enter by clicking here.

#WriteWed Happy Earth Day!

It seems like an appropriate day to discuss how nature inspires me when I write. Whether it’s providing a soothing backdrop for when I’m writing or an interesting location, Nature inspires me!

For the Sin Hunter, Take a Chance and Jersey Girl series, I was inspired by the beauty of my home state, especially the Jersey Shore.
BB2011

For The Calling is Reborn series, it was New York City. I know you probably don’t associate tall skyscrapers and an urban locale with Nature, but there are many lovely areas filled with trees and flowers, like Bryant Park and this little slice of beauty – Herald Square.

I hope you enjoyed today’s Write Wednesday and Happy Earth Day to you all!

#WriteWed Our Inspiring Warriors

I’ve always loved reading stories about our military men and women and that inspired me to create the Take a Chance series. It’s been a challenge to explore the many facets of military heroes and their struggles in the battlefield and off, but I so love giving them their happily-ever-after.

What’s truly inspiring is the way so many veterans have dealt with the wounds they’ve suffered while serving our Nation. People like Daniel Jacobs who didn’t let the loss of part of his leg, remaining foot, and a few fingers keep him from trying out for the Detroit Lions.

Or Noah Galloway, a double amputee whose goal it is to inspire other other veterans!

Please click here if you cannot see the Noah Galloway video.

Noah will be on this year’s Dancing with the Stars. Here he is sharing some info on his journey for that show. Thanks to Noah’s Facebook Page for this!

Then there are my friends at the RomVets, romance authors who have served in various military branches. And let me not forget my buddy Kim, from the wonderful SOS ALOHA Blog who is the wife of a military man and helps organize so many wonderful things for our military men, women, and families with the help of RT Book Reviews.

So that’s my #WriteWednesday inspiration and God bless each and everyone for their service and sacrifice.
